I am installing an ACU-200 and Type 1 linear drive (short) into a Catalina 320 to upgrade our wheel pilot. Edson suggests contacting Raymarine to determine how far from the center of the rudder post to drill the 10" rudder arm for the drive pivot pinion.

[DG11] Autohelm 3000 - control box beeping constantly
I have an old autohelm 3000 wheel controlled autopilot (square black control box - no displays - built in gyro) on my sailing boat. The control box has started beeping as soon as I power it up (same signal as our of course, but just all the time).
I checked all connections etc.
I cannot afford a new
I either need to repair or to replace the control box. Can anyone help with a electronic diagram of the board?
Also if anyone could tell me if a control box for the tiller version autohelm 2000 (looks similar) could do the trick - or any of the later versions like 4000. Thanks in advance.

ACU-100 Not Communicating
Hello,
I have an autopilot system onboard my sailboat. I am receiving a "No Drive Detected" message on the p70S. The ACU-100 LED is flashing short flash red on (x7), long flash off. Cycle repeats after 9 seconds. Note: LED continues to flash this way even when disconnected from SeaTalk NG bus and after cycling power.
The system was installed in 2017 and was working fine as of several months ago - the last time tried to use the system. Since this time, I added an Axiom 7 to the Seatalk NG bus. The Axiom 7 is communicating fine with the p70S. Using the p70S system diagnostic, it inventories the Axiom 7 and EV-1 but not the ACU-100. To troubleshoot, I have temporarily removed the Axiom 7 and bus extension, verified wiring, re-seated connections, checked power, reset p70S to factory settings - all with no luck - the ACU-100 LED continues to flash the same and is not detected on the bus.
System details:

[TG11] Garmin VHF 315 GPS connection to SeaTalK1
Hello,
I have a new Garmin 315 VHF radio and would like to make a connection from my Raymarine chart Plotter to receive GPS info. The old Ray230 radio has a SeaTalk1 plugged into it. What can I do to make this connection. The Garmin manual says I can use 2000 or 0183. Isnt just possible to splice into the old SeaTalk1 wire to the 0183 coming off the new radio? Or do I need some converter? Thank You in advance.

[TG11] Updating to new Axiom 9 from C-80
Hello I Am Getting ready to upgrade from my C-80 to the new Axiom 9 Not the Axiom Pro I have A 2002 360 SeaRay Sundancer the Ray Marine equipment I Have is the C-80 MFD ,RayNav 300GPS,Radar RD218,ST60 Tridata ,and Ray 240 VHF .
Here are my questions which Axiom 9 model do i need to purchase I Know i want navionics + ,I want to install the wired Quantum Radar (Which model?) and add an autopilot and pump (not sure which one?) also along with the control head for the autopilot? sonar is not top priority but maybe would add at a later date also would like to connect the ray marine 240 VHF back to the get the data for the radio is that possible? along with can I Connect the ST-60 Tridata to give the data back to the axiom for depth? [TG11] how to correct depth on E series Plotter
My E series Hybrid depth is always wrong, normally showing 300-5000 ft depth when I'm only in 12-50ft of water. is there a way to correct this or re-calibrate?

[TG11] wind transducer Gray Wire?
I am probably being dense but.....the connection instructions with my short arm wind transducer refer to a "gray wire wind 0 V (shield)" . My transducer cable has no such wire. It has an un-shielded bare wire but no gray shielded. Of course I removed all of the spade connectors before verifying how many were originally connected and I find nothing in the documentation that indicated what instrument requires the gray wire but my i60 certainly has a location for its input. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated...as usual.

I am upgrading our EV-100 Raymarine Wheel Pilot installed in a Catalina 320 to an ACU-200 and Type 1 Linear Drive. Edson advised me to check with Raymarine on how far from center of rudder shaft to drill the rudder arm for the tiller pin.

[TG11] Speed Transducer Not Reading
I was encourage by my tech to swap out my 5 year old Airmar paddle wheel for a new Ultrasonic unit. "No more fussing about with a fouled wheel," he said. Well, after the install, the speed appeared on the Multifunction Chartplotter, but he never was able to get the reading on my network of three repeaters. I lived with it for the remaining month of last season. This season, the speed reads zero on all devises and the tech is avoiding my calls. He says it's a software issue. My boat is a 2013, hardly ancient. I've read the manuals and followed the directions....still no luck. Any thoughts on the fix?

[TG11] Trouble getting LH update
I have 2 12in Axiom units and have been trying to update the LH3 software. When I click on the link on the RM page for Axion units, I get a pop up that says "This version of LightHouse 3 is for Axiom, Axiom Pro & Axiom XL models only." and doesn't allow me to download the files to my computer.
I also tried to do the update via wifi but it fails every time. No idea why.
Please help!

[JB11] Newmar Start Guard
Relates to another post about your post on "Installing power circuits for marine electronics". I am going to fully implement your recommendations with proper sized breakers, a fuse block, and add in the Newmar Start Guard for power conditioning.
On the wiring diagram for the Start Guard (not your product I know) it calls for a sensor lead down to the starter solenoid and says in the manual "Whenever 12 VDC is sensed on either of the STARTER terminals, the internal relay will close and bring the internal battery on-line to provide supplemental voltage to the sensitive electronic device. When the starter is disengaged and there is no longer 12 VDC present on either terminal, the relay will open, disengaging the battery."
In your post you say that power conditioning is needed for isolating the electronics from engine starting and other high current equipment like Thrusters, winches, pumps, macerators, etc.
So, the question is whether the Newmar Start Guard really provides that electrical isolation for other than engine starting. I'm just not sure from reading their documentation.
Any help will be appreciated.

[TG11] Upgrading autopilot 650 to ?
I currently have a Raytheon pilot 650 that works fine. I would like to update the control head to interface with my ray marine c210 chart and radar. I would also like to update the vfh and tridata. I have attached a pic. Can you guys give me some advice? The boat is a 2000 sea ray 410 express pilot vfh and tridata are original. The boat is equipped with sea star hydraulic steering.

Can an Axiom 9 interface with a Seatalk HS E55058 switch to read depth from a networked DSM300 with an Airmar transducer? If so, what connector/adapter is required?

[TG11] AIS 950 EPFS is lost
I am working on a client's boat and getting an error message of EPFS lost. I was told that this is likely a problem with setting for the ECDIS port (set for bi-directional).
I have no clue how to change or test this? Any insight would be helpful.
