[CA11] How to remove safe distance ring?

I have an Axiom Pro RVX that is showing a white dotted circle on the chart page. I'm assuming this is a safety distance circle? How can I go about removing this from the charts?

[CA11] Ray60 - RayMic (handset) Turns Off on Its Own

My RayMic (2nd handset in helm) "randomly" turns off. It is connected to my Ray60 which stays on. Sometimes my RayMic will stay on all day, sometimes 5 minutes, etc.

I have checked for loose wires, but none found. This will happen when in calm or other conditions. The Ray60 unit was sent (Sept 2019) to Raymarine for a reset as I am 2nd owner and wanted to input my MMSI, which all has been done. I have updated the software to most current versions, but note that the RayMic turning off issue is new and only occurring after the software updates. I am not saying the software is the reason, just putting it out there for information. Ray60 software = v1.46 and RayMic software = v1.48 which are both current.

Anyone else with similar issue? Or pass along a note that you are not having any issues please.

[CA11] C80 Radar Onlh

Hello, I am installing a second C80 on my Sea Ray, and I plan to use it to display radar only. I have the 18” dome, not open array, so as I understand it the radar sensor does not need its own power source. I will connect the C80 to its own power cord and to the radar cable. Do I also need to connect the unit to the GPS antenna for the radar to display properly, or am I OK with the just the power cord and the radar cable? Thanks very much for your help.

[CA11] Axiom Pro and Standard horizon VHF 1600

Just a couple of questions on connecting a standard horizon VHF 1600 to and Axiom Pro for GPS input into the VHF for the DSC Emergency call works.
I see on the Axiom Pro wiring there is NMEA 0183 and the Starndard horizon is NMEA 0183 compatible but Standard Horizon in their wiring diagrams states it as RS422 or RS232. Pages 16-19 of attached Standard Horizon Manual.

1.I believe I should be able to use the NMEA 0183 of the Axiom and RS422 connetion for this to work as the radio requires a 4800 baud rate which I believe the Axiom pro unit is or can be adjusted to.

2.I am not sure about the version of NMEA 0183 that the Axiom Pro is using as the VHF radio can read NMEA 0183 version 2.0 or higher.

3. Can the Axiom Pro be using both the NMEA 0183 and NMEA 2000 at the same time?

[CA11] Track line color change

Is it possible to put in a request to have the ability to change the track line color? Other lines on my chart are the exact same color as my track line color (purple) and it's making it very difficult to distinguish between the two.

[CA11] Clarification on Axiom power slider issues

I'm looking for some more detail on the Axiom power slider issues. What exactly is being fixed on the unit when they are sent in for service? Is this an issue that has any possibility of being resolved via a software update in the future?

I ask because I ordered in an Axiom 12RV for an install and bench tested it in advance only to find the shortcut screen continuously popped up and the power slider would become unresponsive at random times. This was on 3.11.42.
I had a new unit sent out, bench tested, and while it was much better than the first unit, the power slider is still unresponsive at times and requires a power cycle to resolve.
These were tested in a quiet RF environment using a regulated PSU set to 12.9 volts and with no external connections. I tried various grounding methods including using the grounding terminal on the back of the unit with no changes in behavior.

One additional question - Are there any options to have the unit boot up when power is applied?

[CA11] Water in Quantum Radome

My three-year-old Quantum radome stopped working. I removed the cover and found about a cup of fresh water inside. The cover had never been removed previously. How do you explain the water intrusion? Why are there apparently no drain holes in the casing? How will I obtain a dry, functioning radome?

[CA11] Axiom 9rv with RayView

Not sure if this is the correct place to post this question but with the raycontrol or rayview apps on my tablet, does this just "share" the screen from the Axiom or can I display a different screen on the tablet with raycontrol (ie: chart on the tablet and engine info on the Axiom itself)

[CA11] RV 100 transducer

I have an 2400 cc Century (V-hull) with twin 150’s. According to the manual the RV 100 bracket is to be mounted center of the boat between the motors at the water line! This would put the transducer 12” or so upwards from the bottom of the V. Is this correct placement for the transducer to work properly?

Furuno compatibility with M232 Thermal Camera

Furuno has recently produced a software version for their NavNet MFD's that allows compatibility with FLIR's M132/232 thermal cameras. Furuno recommends that a JCU3 be installed in the system as there are certain controls not available through the Furuno GUI. However, the JCU3 will need a software update to allow for compatibility in the Furuno system; this software is currently not available but work is in progress to deliver it. In the meantime, the Furuno will perform all the major control functions of the M132/232 cameras.

[CA11] eS127 system stationary depth issue

I have a boat with a factory installed system / 3 each eS127 and 1 eS128 also an I70 , wired Quantum Radar and a ECI100 connected to the Cummins engines. All software is at the 19.03 date .The transducer was replaced and is a B744 with a fairing block. The original transducer was the same model but did not have a fairing block
The customer issue is the same as before the replacement/ seeing depth readings while stationary of 45' while in 6' of water, moving while offshore it reads 25' in 300'.
The readings are not consistent , at the dock when I am on board it was reading the correct depth.
In the settings the transducer is set as a B744 and all other settings are factory after a factory reset was done.
The transducer was switched to the eS127 next to the Master / changed that to Master and there was no change in the issue.

On an other issue- 1 of the eS127 units doesn't display the Shallow Depth Warning, it does see the other units on the Network

One of the eS127 units was replaced due to a bad touchscreen and was replaced with the eS128. I have another eS127 with the same issue now also.

On writing this I will go back and run a test cable over the deck from the ducer to the helm to eliminate that .

My thought was, there is some interference in the system created by the multiple 127 / 128 sonar units or the i70.

[CA11] Tablet Wi-Fi issues

I have an Axiom Pro 9 RVX with Realvision 3D transducers, 424 HD radar and Evolution EV1 auto pilot connected to it. Everything works really well together and I’m very happy with this setup. The problem starts when I connect my Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e on the bridge to the Axiom via Wi-Fi using RayControl software (version 0108).

When the tablet interface works properly everything is great but there are some frequent problems. The most frequent problem is that it starts acting like the RayView app instead of the RayControl app. That is, I see everything (chart/fishfinder/radar) and it appears to be updating properly but I don’t have any control. The second thing that frequently happens is that it will revert back to the app start-up screen saying:

"No displays found
Please check the following:
• Your MFD’s network is switched on
• You’re mobile device is connected to your MFD’s Wi-Fi network (Currently connected to)
• Your MFD’s “Mobile Apps” setting is set to Remote Control or Viewing Only
Retry"

On rare occasions it will just kick me completely out of the app and go back to the tablet home screen.

Some info about the setup: The distance from the tablet to my Axiom Pro unit is about 5’. The Wi-Fi signal is required to pass through the fiberglass/wood roof of the salon.

Does this sound like a Wi-Fi signal strength issue, a Wi-Fi interference issue, an issue with the RayControl app (is there an updated version)? Are there any other potential issues? How can I test and solve this problem?

Is there a way to hardwire it into the network through the tablet’s USB3 port and would that solve the problem?

[CA11] ST60 wind sensor

Greetings.

Last week, I had a nice (but probably fairly old) ST60 wind sensor at the top of my mast. It's gone now (not the cups or vane -- the whole thing!). Probably the doings of that evil Osprey I have noticed sitting on my neighbor's wind sensor...LOL (note, I love Osprey).

Three questions.

Is the attached picture a R28170 (complete unit)?

Do you make a bird spike like Windex uses (of course, the spike on my Windex has a 30 degree bend.....)

Am I likely to find other failures up there, or is it simply a case of "buy, climb mast, screw to plug/mount"? I'm hoping the attachment nut backed off and it fell down.

RE: I have some 1997 vintage transducer equipment and wondering about the transducer wires currently going into the back of a Ratheon RAYDATA display for speed and depth.

Can I put these same vintage transducer wires into a Raymarine ITC-5 and connect to the network for my axiom MFD?

[CA11] Acu 100 and s100 remote

I bought an acu 100 with pump for my 27 foot edgewater


1) it came with a free s100 remote

I am assuming I can tie the yellow wire directly into the acu 100 since I am not using the older style network

But I can’t find where to tie it in
I would hate to pay 100’s in adapters for a free remote


Also I have to p70 controller that came with it but I don’t plan on using it
How do I get my axioms 9 and 12” to have the autopilot app

[CA11] Gs Series Issues

Running Gs195 as master with a Gs195, Gs125, Gs95 as slaves. Lighthouse 3 installed on all units. Trouble is analog camera plugged into master does not appear on slaves post installation of a Flir M300c, master can see. Master nor Gs95 seem to be able to send an HDMI signal out. Earlier I ran a cable from the bridge Gs195 and could see it via HDMI.

Any input here?

Recently purchased a Raymarine Axiom12 Pro RVX and an Axiom 9 Pro S.The displays are networked and professionally installed. The 12" has a production date of 2017 and the 9" a 2019 date. The 12' Display is of poor clarity,less vibrant colors.We have adjusted options and done a factory hard set.Same difference.The MFD's were purchased about a week apart from a dealer we have dealt with in the past.
Is the difference based on manufactured dates or simply a less than optimal 12" screen?
