Reproducible reboot with dual charts eS78

$

I have had random reboots on my eS78 since upgrading to v17 of Lighthouse. Lately it seems to reboot whenever I use dual charts and one of them is a vector Lighthouse chart.

I've seen other responses that indicate corrupted charts are the reason, but I've updated these charts several times in the last few weeks via the Lighthouse Updater and the crashes still occur.

Video of issue is at https://youtu.be/lZig0eT1c6s

Just bought a brand new a97 mfd and was looking to buy an i70 display to compliment the rest of my system which also includes a p70 and I go to find out you guys dropped the i70 in favour for the "NEW" i70s. The new i70s only has one stng port as well so now they can't be daisy chained, what was it?

C Series Classic CF to SD card adapter for Navionics charts

Has anyone had success using one of these adapters? We tried one with a Type I CF card, with no success, but can order a CF Type II to SD adapter online but I didn't know if it was another money pit or not.

Navionics has discontinued their Gold charts as of January, and they are the only charts that are read by the C series classic for North America it appears. We have some stock still in SD format, and would like to use one of them to help a customer with no local charts... if we can find an SD to CF adapter that will talk to the C120 at least.
Thanks

Raymarine MFDs are not compatible with CF to microSD memory card adapters other than the A62311 Raymarine Cartography Adapter. The A62311 Raymarine Cartography Adapter is exclusively compatible with the following Raymarine MFDs:
- A-Series Classic MFDs (v1.09 and higher)
- C-Series Classic MFDs (v5.04 and higher)
- E-Series Widescreen MFDs (v2.49 and higher)

What is the most appropriate autopilot to control a 30hp outboard used for trolling?

$

I have a 25' cruiser that is used for trolling on the Great Lakes. I estimate it weighs somewhere around 7000 - 8000lbs. It has an I/O with a V8 that outputs about 250hp to a Mercruiser 888 sterndrive that is mechanically steered. I use a Mercury 30hp outboard with mechanical steering for trolling in the 2 - 3mph range. I want to outfit my boat with autopilot to be used while trolling. The autopilot does not need to be used to control the I/O sterndrive.

I am looking for opinions as to what are the most appropriate and cost effective routes I can take to achieve my goal of trolling along a constant heading, following trolling patterns (do these come predefined or would I need to define them myself?), and navigating to waypoints I have marked with my Raymarine a78 MFD. All of this would be done with my 30hp outboard.

I have previously received the opinion that a great route would be to install a Raymarine EV-200 system pack and use an Octopus drive (type R, I believe) from Aero Marine. This is indeed a great option, but I fear it may be overkill. Could I not get by with a Raymarine EV-200 Sport? Are they still available? I had read an article about Raymarine discontinuing them, I think(?). Do they have any operational or longevity issues? Does anyone know if this would be a less expensive and easier to install option than the T70156 EV-200 system pack with an Octopus type R drive?

GS-165 New Installation

Hello:

I have recently installed a new GS-165 Chart plotter on my Beneteau 49 sailboat. The unit works perfectly and seamlessly with my E-95 down at the chart table. The install was done by Annapolis Yacht Sales.

The GS-165 was canted a little so I can easily see it from the helm.

Lighthouse v17 E7

I have downloaded v17.45 on my E7 (hybrid touch) and have the latest Navionics+ freshest data. Most times DocktoDock is not available but the older Autorouting is. I have reinstalled several times with a power on factory reset. Usually after this, the first time I boot up, DocktoDock appears but subsequent reboots show the older autorouting. I have spoken to Navionics and they say it's a Raymarine problem that it is aware of. When I called Raymarine, they said it is a Navionics issue. I was able to have Avionics send me a new copy which I updated but same result. I have tried booting up without the Navionics card inserted and then inserted, but same result.

I am unable to use v17.45's Dock to Dock Autorouting feature

Please note that the Navionics Dock to Dock Autorouting feature requires that:
- the a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFD be updated with v17.45 or later a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFD software
- a Navionics+, Platinum Plus, or HotMaps Platinum chart card be present within the MFD's memory card reader or within the reader of a compatible networked MFD which has been switched ON and has completed initialization
- If using a Navionics+ Chart card, it has contents have been updated to include Navionics Sonar Charts for the waters to be navigated
- the Navionics+, Platinum Plus, or HotMaps Platinum chart card has been updated with Navionics Freshest Data updates (to include updates to both Nautical Charts and Sonar Charts) after April 1st, 2016 by visiting the Navionics online store
- within the Chart application page/pane in which the Dock to Dock Autorouting feature will be executed, the Chart Selection configuration setting must be configured to Navionics Nautical Charts.
- the Dock to Dock Autorouting Build Route setting (MENU->NAVIGATE->BUILD ROUTE->DOCK TO DOCK AUTOROUTING) must be configured ON.

Raymarine has received some reports that the Dock to Dock Autorouting option is not listed within the Chart application's Build Route menu after having satisfied the criteria listed above. Raymarine is presently working with Navionics to seek a software solution to the reported issue. In the interim, should this problem be encountered, then it is recommended that the following workaround be employed:
chart card feature Navionics Raymarine is presently working with Navionics to seek a software solution to the reported issue. Should this problem be encountered, then is it recommended that
1) the command sequence HOME->MY DATA->EJECT CARD be used to eject the chart card,
2) the chart card be manually ejected when prompted that it is safe to do so.
Note: the chart card need not be fully removed from the MFD's memory card reader. The chart card need only be released from the MFD's memory card reader's locking mechanism by pressing inward on the edge of the card, causing the card to extend from the reader.
3) the chart card be manually inserted into the MFD's memory card reader slot and lock into position within the reader by pressing inward an the edge of the chart card.

DSM250 compatible transducer for steel hull

We are in a dilemma and are having a difficult time trying to find the correct transducer for our sailboat. We need a compatible plastic or stainless steel transducer for older components - a DSM250 Raymarine Fishfinder E62007 model and Raymarine C120 classic multi function Chartplotter for our steel sailboat with a deadrise of 20 degrees. After many hours of research and reading manuals, many failed purchases and recommendations, we have still not reached a satisfactory result. We cannot use a transom mount (we have a Mason 33) nor a bronze . We have done some reading on tilted element transducers but cannot locate any that are compatible. Any suggestions out there? We are very confused. Thanks to any who can shed a glimmer of light.

I see that these apps are designed to connect the MFD and smartphone via WiFi. If this is the case, will my smartphone lose its cellular data link when connected the the MFD? Without the data link I wouldn't be able to text or access the internet while connected to the MFD.

ST6000+ / S100 Compatibility

I have a customer that wishes to add autopilot remote control to his older suite of electronics. He has both an ST6000+ and a ST7000 control head for the autopilot. Based upon the forum post http://forum.raymarine.com/showthread.ph...light=s100 we thought we'd go ahead and try it. After installation the S100 can change modes between auto and standby, but can not change course. Any thoughts?

If it really isn't compatible with the ST6000+, can simply swapping out the ST6000+ with a newer display head provide compatibility, and if so, which one(s) are recommended? I've got no idea which course computer he has as I didn't have time to search the boat looking for it, but if it is part of the issue I, or he, can locate it and determine which one it is.

E7D problems

My system:
-E7D with recall work performed. Not the latest software but somewhere close. Not sure i want to update.
-SpX5 pilot. Updated approx a yr ago. Cannot recal the compass. Worked fine before. Why cant you move the lookup tables to card and then reinsert after update?
-HD color radar. Working as long as plotter works
-AIS650 working as long as plotter works
-Standard horizon radio with NMEA connected. It works

The touchscreen on this plotter is not working right. My plotter freezes up when I attempt to change things either touchscreen or rotary knob. It gets to where nothing wakes it up. Submenus appear without being called up. When i rotate the knob to zoom in or out it sometimes goes full in or out. The cursor takes off on its own and keeps going. I had it commanding the pilot to got to cursor and twice it fell asleep offcourse and no alarms of XTE. Using chart and radar on split screen really confuses it. I've had intermittent problems since i got it back from recall.

ST 50 Plus Transducer

I have an Autohelm ST50 Plus Tridata head unit. My depth works fine. My speed is intermittent to non existent. I read the post titled ST50+ Tridata and plan to run the test shown there on the paddlewheel.

I do not know the part number of the transducer - Can you identify from the attached photo? The cable shows "Airmar Transducer Cable #C9 C1225" but there are no markings that I can see on the transducer itself.

Questions are:
1. If the paddlewheel is not showing correct function with the Ohm meter, are there replacement parts available to replace/rebuild the paddlewheel portion of the sender? part Numbers please.
2. If not, what sender is the correct unit to replace mine without having to replace the through hull? part Numbers, please.

Appreciate your replies.

double digit speed on Racemaster

Can anyone help me figure out how to get my speed set to double digits on my Racemaster displays?

The system I use is 2 Racemaster displays in Master/Slave config. I know where to find the setting to set speed to 0.00 and the system is currently set to display double digits, but the speed only shows up as single digit, so 5.8 kts, in stead of 5.83 what I would like to see.

Sofar I have tried to reset settings to 0.0, then restart, then change back to 0.00 and then restart again. Nothing seems to help.

From when I bought the boat(J/80), during the trysail I know the system has worked with double digits, but somehow the setting got changed (unwillingly) and I want it back!

C90W began cycling on and off. Did factory reset but continues to cycle on and off and then freeze. Additionally, the raymarine permission screen no longer appears at start up, although the Sirius weather screen does.
