I loaded the updated RayView and RayControl on my Verizon Xoom with android 4.1.2 and both apps crash immediately (app stopped unexpectedly msg). I was able to connect the Xoom to the Axiom wireless. I went ahead and reset the Xoom back to factory settings and reinstalled but both apps immediately error. This is showing as a supported device (Xoom - Stingray)

Ray70 VHF - Low Battery Message

Feature Suggestion - Ray70 VHF

When battery voltage temporarily dips below a voltage threshold (like during engine start) our Ray70 VHF and handheld remote will display a message similar to "Low Battery Voltage, Press OK to Resume". This message will display until "OK" has been pushed, regardless of current battery voltage. This behaviour is unlike our other Raymarine products (e7, i70) which seem to be unaffected by this temporary condition. It also appears that the Ray70 is fully functional, even though it is displaying a warning message.

Suggestion:

1) Increase the low voltage sensitivity and/or delay before the message displays.
2) Self-clear the message once proper battery voltage has been restored.

Thank you for making such great products.

Future Suggestion - MFD Save State

Hello

It would be exceedingly cool if an MFD were to save its current state for a few minutes when power is cut and resume its route, track, and maintain Surius weather history, etc. when power is restored within a reasonable time limit.

Thank you,
Dan

AIS650 NMEA outpout

I have an AIS650 which is about to be installed and would be connected to my MFD and Ray 260 Vhf via stng.

My question is could I connect the nmea output wires on the power cord of the AIS650 to supply lat and long from the AIS antenna to the DSC function on my Icom 802 ssb radio.

I believe the Icom radio will only accept a sentence from a dedicated $GPS$ versus the signal from the RS130 / RS150 which is supplied to my E series MFD which in turns supplies a sentence which the ICom does not accept .

I hope this might work versus the purchase of a third GPS receiver.

Interference from prop wash

Hi guys,

Boat: 2017 GW 330 Express, twin yam 350s
Equipment: ES127s, M265 in hull TD
Install location: mid-boat center, aft bilge compartment under aft cabin

Issue:

Machine works great on plane, trolling speeds and holding bottom.

Reverse throttle low RPM creates prop wash noise causing lost bottom on the fish finder that tends to linger well after wash has dissipated.

I am looking for the solution to 'reset' the FF to accurately find the bottom again without powering down units. Is there an easier method than system reboot?

Thanks!

I have a Course Computer 150 (E12054) connected to a ST6001+ controller, rudder indicator, compass, and Lecomble & Schmitt hydraulic pump (2002 boat). I experienced erratic behavior with the AP: unsolicited hard turns and drive stop errors. I had it looked at by a technician who declared the computer "bad". Can I simply replace the course computer with an S2 computer I have on hand? Thanks for your help.

I currently have an e125 and e127 MFD's operating in my boat. I would like to install an i70 package (wind, speed, depth, temp) to boat, can the DST800 smart sensor provided with the i70 package also talk to the e125 and e127 mfd's.

Thanks,

Dave

Suggested ACU-200 / EV-1 / p70Rs Software Enhancement

$

This thread is being written to suggest a future update to ACU-200 / EV-1 / p70Rs software to include changing "Auto" setting such that it maintains course over ground instead of maintaining heading.

The objective is to allow autopilot to make course changes to compensate for tidal streams and leeway similar to "Track Mode" without having to having to navigate to a waypoint.

An alternate would be to create another mode such as "Heading Mode" with tis feature.

Replacing a C-Series Classic MFD(s) with an Axiom MFD(s)

Replacing a C-Series Classic MFD(s) with an Axiom MFD(s)

Please note that the C-Series Classic MFDs were not designed to share cartography, radar imagery, fishfinder imagery, Satellite Weather, or Satellite Radio control with other MFDs (including other C-Series Classic MFDs).

MOUNTING: Raymarine offers the adapter plates to support surface installation an Axiom MFD within the helm space previously occupied by another Raymarine MFD.

POWER: The currently installed power cable will need to be replaced with the cable supplied with the Axiom MFD.

ETHERNET: Should more than one Raymarine product featuring an Ethernet network (RayNet/SeaTalkHS) interface (a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFDS, CPxxx Sounder Modules, Quantum/Digital/HD Digital/SuperHD Digital Radomes and Open Array Radar Scanners, Thermal Cameras, CAM200IP, PC w/Voyage Planner software, etc.) be installed onboard, then these devices must be interfaced to a common Ethernet network to fully communicate with one another. Failure to do so will prevent the sharing radar, cartography, fishinder, weather, IP camera video, waypoint, routes, tracks, etc. between the system's MFDs. To view Raymarine Ethernet networking products, click here.

Axiom MFDs feature a single Ethernet network socket permitting them to be interfaced to one other Raymarine product featuring an Ethernet network interface. Should the MFD(s) not feature sufficient Ethernet network sockets to interface all of the Raymarine products featuring an Ethernet network interface, then it will be necessary to install a HS5 RayNet Network Switch(es) to support interfacing the additional Ethernet devices to the MFD.

RADAR: Please click here to view a FAQ addressing how to add radar features to an Axiom MFD.

SEATALK: Please click here to view a FAQ addressing how to interface products having a SeaTalk interface to a SeaTalkng backbone, to which the Data Master Axiom will also be interfaced.

EXTERNAL ALARM: Please click here to view a FAQ addressing how to add an alarm to the Axiom MFDs.

NMEA 0183: The NMEA 0183 leads of any NMEA 0183 devices which are presently interfaced to the C-Series Classic MFD's NMEA Cable will need to be disconnected from this cable and will instead be interfaced to a NMEA 0183 to SeaTalkng/NMEA 2000 data bridging device (ex. Actisense NGW-1-ISO-STNG, Actisense NGW-1-ISO-AIS, etc.) are available from third parties to support interfacing NMEA 0183 devices to systems featuring Axiom MFDs.

SEATALKNG/NMEA 2000: Should the C-Series Classic MFD be interfaced as a spur to NMEA 2000 backbone, then the Data Master Axiom MFD may instead be interfaced to this backbone via an appropriate length of SeaTalkng Spur to DeviceNet Cable. Should the SeaTalkng/NMEA 2000 backbone be constructed from third party NMEA 2000 networking components featuring DeviceNet sockets, then the Axiom MFD may be interfaced to the NMEA 2000 backbone via an appropriate length of NMEA 2000 Cable having DeviceNet plugs of appropriate gender.

Video Input: Raymarine’s Axiom MFDs support integration with compatible IP Cameras and compatible FLIR/Raymarine thermal cameras having an IP video interface.

Video Output: Axiom MFDs do not feature output capability.

FISHFINDER(s): Please click here to view a FAQ addressing how to add fishfinder features to an Axiom MFD.

SIRIUSXM SATELLITE WEATHER/RADIO FEATURES: At the time of this response, Raymarine had not yet added support for SiriusXM Satellite Weather/Radio features within LightHouse 3 software. It is expected that support for these features will be offered within one of the early LightHouse 3 software updates for the Axiom MFDs. At that time, Raymarine will indicate which, if any, SiriusXM Satellite Weather / Radio receivers in addition to the SR150 will be supported.

PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION: While the replacement of this equipment is well within the capabilities of those familiar with marine electronics equipment installation, there will be some cable splicing and cable chasing required. Should this not be within your comfort zone or skills, then click here to locate a Certified Raymarine Installer in your area.

WAYPOINTS, ROUTES, AND TRACKS: Please click here to view a FAQ addressing this subject.

CARTOGRAPHY - Navionics cartography which has been programmed onto CF memory cards may not be used with Axiom MFDs. Please click here to view a FAQ addressing cartography which may be used with Axiom MFDs.

Replacing A70 Classic with ???

I am looking to get a little bigger presence at the helm by replacing my Classic A70 with another Raymarine MDF. Can I do this just by swapping out the A70 for an A95? Would this be as simple as plug and play? Would other models be more appropriate for the swap....if I am trying to avoid a lot of rewiring or transducer replacement?

Thanks for the suggestions.

Axiom feature request for sailing

It would be quite helpful for sailing to be able to display lines projected from the own-boat icon in the direction of course over ground and of heading. Ideally these would be of different colors from each other and from the existing navigation lines.

Thank you

TackTick T122 NMEA interface not repeating DPT input

$

I have a TackTick T122 nmea interface. I have a computer hooked up to the T122 NMEA out and NMEA2 input. I have an Airmar smart depth connected to the NMEA1 input also labeled GPS. I am not getting DPT sentences from the NMEA output as I should according to the manual.

My system is basically a T104 without the T912 plus the Airmar DT820PV-235-0
Here are some examples:

NMEA input 1 (Airmar Smart Depth nmea-0183)
$SDDPT,2.0,*7B
$SDDBT,6.9,f,2.0,M,1.1,F*0B
$YXMTW,22.5,C*17

NMEA input 2 (computer)
$PTAK,TWC,0.0,2*7E

My problem is I do not get the DPT sentences repeated even though the manual for the T122 says they will be transmitted.

NMEA Sentences (0183 V2.30)
Received Sentences: DBT, DPT, GLL, HDG, HDM, MTW, MWV, RMB, RMC, VHW, VLW, VWR.
Transmitted Sentences: DPT, GLL, HDG, MTW, MWV, RMB, RMC, VHW, VLW, VWR.
Note: Only information available will be transmitted.

Here is what I read from the nmea output (computer)
$IIMTW,+20.0,C*3A
$IIMWV,080,R,09.2,N,A*10
$IIMWV,105,T,09.8,N,A*10
$IIVHW,,,155,M,04.7,N,,*66
$IIVLW,00689,N,007.2,N*51
$IIVWR,077,R,09.2,N,,,,*6A
$IIHDG,155,,,14,E*16

I want the computer to be able to read the DPT data and the manual says it should be transmitted.

How can I get the T122 to transmit the DPT data?

St ng and ST60's

I am in the process of installing a number of new RM items and building a ST ng network. I have searched a number of postings and have not been able to find any information on the following:

Is it possible to connect my existing St60 Depth Speed to the St Ng network and have them connected to A22111 stng transducer, the ST 60 wind transducer connected to the network via a Wind pod. I am planning on connecting the ST 60"s to the St Ng network via A06047 st to st ng interface.

so would the ST 60's be repeaters? Would I loose and functionality? Could the St60 multi display be connected?

The purpose is to install the requirements to just change the instruments to I50 I 60 or I70's in the future.

I have a P70s pilot control, my plan is to connect it directly from the St ng port to an existing SG2 course computer. I have read suggestions the P70 should go thru the A06047 into the ST1 network then to the Sg2 and I have also read to wire the P70s directly to the SG2 ( it bridges directly) .

The balance of the new items will all be connected to the St Ng net, they include E95 C95 AIS650 Rd418D I70 ( dual helm sailboat ) Ray 260 and RS130.

Thanks in advance as I do not want to buy the A22111 in advance if it will not work, I already have the windpod for ST ng

Depth sounder woes...

$

First you should know that my understanding of all this electronics networking is very rudimentary. It all started when my DSM30 started working only intermittently. I'm not really using the fish finder capability, I just want accurate depth readings. When I am running the engine the sounder reads accurately sometimes and reads nothing at all at other times. Strangely enough, when I'm sailing the reading bounces from not working at all to giving me readings of 25 to 30 feet when I'm in over 100 feet of water. Tech support has suggested, since I don't need the fish finder, to bypass the DSM30, cut the end off the transducer cable and connect the black, blue and shield wires in to the ITC 5. I would lose the fish finder capability but would still get my depth reading through my I70's. This sounded like a pretty simple solution but I still hired a tech to do this. The tech got me a transducer cable extension, connected it to the transducer cable and wired it in to the ITC5. I think we both expected it to pop up on the I70 but somehow the i70 wouldn't recognize the p319 transducer. He called tech support and they said "Gee, it should work." Each time we tried the I70 transducer search there was no recognition of the depth transducer. The weekend is here so we disconected what we had done and reconnected the DSM30 and the depth worked perfectly...for 20 minutes and then back to nothing. I want to be heading south in a couple of weeks but not without a working depth sounder. Any ideas?

Smart Pilot X5 belt change

I have changed the belt on the grey wheel drive but cannot get the covers to snap together. Manual says to align arrows and just squeeze. I cannot find any arrows and I have squeezed everywhere with no results. Also, does squeeze mean to squeeze together from top to bottom or from inside the wheel to the outside?
