Axiom 9 Interface to I60 Wind Instrument Troubleshooting Approach Needed

I performed a test install of an Axiom 9 and I60 wind instrument before permanent mounting. The system was powered up before installation and using Settings>Network> Devices? >Wind, was able to find the i60 on the databus. The wind data was active on the Sailing page in the Dashboard App (it’s really, really nice!)

After permanent install in the pedestal pods, the Axiom could not find the I60 on the databus, but the I60 was operating normally. Remaking all databus connectors enabled the Axiom see the I60 again and display wind data. So I must have stressed a connector or cable and potentially have an intermittent open connection. I was careful in making the databus connections during assembly and reassembly (no bent pins and connector collars fully locked, although one collar fell off of the 5-way but was easily replaced).

Q1. Is there an approach, other than watching the wind indicator on the Sailing page in the Dashboard App, where I can monitor the I60 PGNs on the Axiom and detect the loss of the PGNs while flexing the cables?

Q2. Since the databus is on its own breaker/fuse (common house battery bank), could cycling of power to the databus only cause the Axiom to perform a hard reboot?

I am about to add the I70s and Evolution and a ST to STng converter to the backbone and want to get Q1 resolved while the network is simple.

changing shared brightness settings

I have setup my e95 at the helm to be on the same shared brightness network group as my instruments.
is it possible to change the day/night brightness setting of all these displays at the same time?
At dusk I would like to change the day white/color settings to the night red/black settings on my displays and then reverse this process in the morning.

now I have to go to each instrument display and the e95 and make this change.

C90W fix loss and stops goto waypoint

I have a C90W running version 2.20
It is using the internal GPS and is mounted on the pedestal in the cockpit below a sunbrella bimini.
I sail in Southern New England.

It intermittently loses a position fix and I get the flashing warning. I am not worried about the occasional fix loss (I understand installing a raystar antenna may reduce this problem), but am very much concerned by the fact that when a fix is lost, I lose my goto course. Why doesn't it resume following a goto once a fix is re-acquired (usually takes 30 seconds or so)?
Is this a settings issue, software issue, or design flaw?
The latest update (ver2.35) appears to only involve AIS.

ST500+ Autopilot

I have a 2004 ST5000+ Autopilot that is in excellent working order and would like to add a remote to the unit. I have searched these forums with nothing specific found as to what model and method although it appears maybe an ST100 might work? Please advise - it was previously connected to a Raychart 435 which went bad and I replaced it with a C95 MFD and SR6 network switch which would not interface to the ST5000+ so I left the autopilot as stand alone which is fine - thanks, Bass

open array radar pin

we have a boat with a 4kw open array radar pedestal model E52069E. The pin that goes between the pedestal and the array has broken. Searching the web I believe that I need the coaxial tube assembly. I believe the part number is R58165, but would like to verify that before I order another part.

ST-60+ TriData Knot Meter Malfunction

I have an ST-60+ knot meter/depth guage and the speed display no longer functions normally. Speed will not register unless I remove the transducer, spin the paddles and return the unit to the hull. Speed will then be displayed for about 5 minutes, then reset to a decimal (e.g., 00.09) then countdown to 00.00 where it remains until I go through the removal/spin routine, speed shows for another few minutes, resets and again counts down to zero. The paddles move freely and are not fouled (I did apply transducer paint to reduce fouling which I've done in the past without a problem). Wires appear fine. Any suggestions?

#1 Which external antenna do I need for the Axiom 9"?

#2 is there an estimated time frame when the lighthouse 3 update will be available for the A78 unit and will the external gps puck and waypoints Transfer from the Axiom to the a78?

Autopilot tacking

I have a EV-1 ACU-100,P70 wheel pilot on my boat. I added an e95 chart plotter this spring and updated all the software in May. In case it is relevant, in the process of updating, the EV-1 was not recognized and had to be sent back to Raymarine to be updated. The autopilot works fine in locked mode. However, the autotack no longer works correctly. First, it tacks very very slowly. Then it overtacks to about 60° apparent (from 38° apparent). It then very slowly comes back to a more correct heading but during that time, the off course alarm is going off. Sometimes it would come back to the correct heading and other times it would go past head to wind. It is set to wheel pilot and sailboat and I have tried both performance mode and cruising mode and it did not seem to make any difference. What should I do to get it working correctly again?

SPX computer conecting to Garmin 4212

My customer has purchased a used power boat that has the spx autopilot as well as the Garmin 4212. They are currently not connected together. I have determined that the Garmin 4212 will put out the following PGNs 129283 Cross track error, 129284 navigation data, and the 129285 route/waypoint info. The question that I have will the spx support these PGN's when I connect the 4212 onto the Seatalkng /NMEA2000 buss?

I have an existing 1000W thru hull transducer connected to a DSM with a E120 (2005). Can I reuse the transducer if I upgrade to the latest Raymarine MFDs??

Odd ST60+ wind issue Thread Missing

Earlier today you responded to me regarding my ST60 issue, but the thread appears to be missing, or is hidden as I cannot see the thread or the reply.

The issue is that the wind is in one direction, the ST60 dial points in another direction, and the ST4000+ and my chart plotter are showing an entirely different direction.

Please re-post your reply or if hidden, unhide the thread.

Lastly I have found another thread on another Ray Marine forum which suggested going into the Service Diagnostics, and one of the steps is setting the wind direction / angle. The also included a link for the Service manual. Here is the link http://raymarine.ning.com/forum/topics/t...e=activity

In the Service manual is has you pressing various keys to enter the service menu. It was unclear to me if they were referring to the buttons on the ST60, or you have to open the it the press keys on the board itself.

Cpt100 not sending H2O temp to A75

My A75 showed water temp from Cpt100 Ok. Yesterday it stopped only displays dashes now. In transducer setting it shows no water temp data available. Any ideas on trouble shooting this?

I tried the downvision yesterday for the first time this season. It is a black screen but shows the depth in the data box. Is this an indication of a bad ducer??

Trying to update A95 using wifi

I am having trouble updating with wifi. I can't seem to find the right procedure to do so. The unit never shows wifi networks. Is it possible my a95 is not capable of wifi update? My unit is model e70232. Any help will be appreciated.
