Please note that UniController rotar/trackpad membrane part is no longer available. Should the UniController's rotary/trackpad button membrane be in need of replacement, then the MFD must be sent to Raymarine’s Product Repair Center to be serviced.

Raymarine does not typically supply disassembly/repair/assembly instructions for its products. Raymarine recommends that products which are in need of repair instead be sent to Raymarine’s Product Repair Center to be serviced. However, in this case, replacement of the UniController's rotary/trackbad button membrane is quite simple. The MFD's bezel must first be removed to access the two phillips head screws the UniController rotary/trackpad button membrane to the MFD. The MFD's bezel is snapped into place over the MFD's frame. Care must be exercised when unsnapping the MFD's bezel from the MFD's frame to prevent cracking it. It is generally recommend to begin unsnapping the MFD's bezel along it's outer edge starting at the top center and then working one's way around the bezel's perimeter. After removing the MFD's bezel, one will find two phillips head screws securing the UniController's rotary/trackbad button to the UniController. These two screws will be removed, the UniController's rotary/trackbad button membrane lifted off the shaft of the UniController, the replacement UniController's rotary/trackbad button membrane will be placed onto the UniController's shaft, the screws will be re-installed, and then finally, the MFD's bezel will be snapped into place.
