I'm currently running a a128, a98 and a97. I want to run a low, medium and high transducer. I was planning to run airmar b175l, b175m, and b175hw transducers with this setup. If it is possible how can it be accomplished? Can an additional pigtail be used or must another cp box be used to run the 3rd transducer? Thanks

Troubleshooting NO FIX - Raystar 130 GPS Sensor
NOTE: the command sequences specified within this FAQ are those for an a/c/e/e/eS/gS-Series MFD.
It is recommended that your ensure that:
- the problem can be produced prior to commencing troubleshooting
- the Raystar 130 GPS Sensor has been installed in a location affording it an unobstructed view of the skies overhead ... should the vessel be inside of a building or under a roof structure, then the GPS sensor would be considered to NOT be afforded an unobstructed view of the skies overhead
- the Raystar 130 GPS Sensor is not installed within 3' of a VHF antenna or radar scanner (if mounted within its beam angle)
- the vessel's batteries have been fully charged and that testing is conducted following any necessary charging of the batteries, but before disconnecting the batteries from the charging system
- The Raystar 130 GPS Sensor and Data Master MFD have each been interfaced as a spur to a powered and properly terminated SeaTalkng backbone.
- the SeaTalkng backbone has been powered ON ... Raymarine MFDs are neither designed to supply power to nor be powered by a SeaTalkng/NMEA 2000 backbone. If uncertain which circuit is supplying power to the SeaTalkng backbone, then all of the marine electronics circuits should be powered ON.
- verify that the Data Master MFD is communicating with the SeaTalkng backbone and the RS130 ... use the command sequence HOME->SET-UP->MAINTENANCE->DIAGNOSTICS->SELECT DEVICE to display the list of all devices which the MFD has detected as being interfaced to the MFD via Ethernet (SeaTalkhs) and SeaTalkng (STng).
- Should the RS130 be listed within the Devices List, then the MFD's Data Sources feature (HOME->SET-UP->SYSTEM SETTINGS->DATA SOURCES) should be utilized to manually select the RS130 to be the system's GPS sensor.
- the status LED atop the RS130 GPS Sensor be checked for illumination and color:
Not illuminated: the device is not powered or suffered a total failure
--- Flashing RED: the unit is booting up, its software is being upgraded, or is unable to boot ... should this state remain, then the GPS sensor should be serviced or replaced
--- Flashing ORANGE: the unit is running, but does not have a FIX ... should this state remain and the above criteria have been satisfied, then the GPS sensor should be serviced or replaced
--- Flashing GREEN: the unit is running and has a FIX ... possible conflict with third party device ... recommend that fault isolation begin by disconnecting the system from third party devices.
Should the above criteria have been satisfied, then the Raystar 130 GPS Sensor should be bench tested / serviced by Raymarine’s Product Repair Center.

Please sanity check my proposed system
I currently have an ST40 bidata with analog Speed/Depth/Temp sensors and an ST4000+ autopilot on my boat. I am repowering to a Yamaha F70 and I would like to take the opportunity to integrate it as well as my Standard Horizon GX1700 VHF w/ GPS (NMEA 0183) all together.
If I purchase an i70, it seems to me the system config would look like so:
1) Connect ST4000+ to ST40 by Seatalk1, then ST40 to i70 by A06073 (ST1 Adaptor cable)
2) Connect i70 to DeviceNet (NMEA2000) backbone by Devicenet Adaptor Cable
3) Connect Motor and VHF w/ GPS to DeviceNet (NMEA2000) backbone by respective non-Raymarine adaptors
If I do this, will I get everything displayed on the i70? ie:
- SOW, Depth, Temp from analog sensors hanging off ST40
- Compass direction from ST4000+
- SOG from VHF GPS
- Engine display (Fuel Flow, RPMs, etc) from Yamaha outboard
Do I need any other widgets that I haven't considered?
Thanks!

Radar Extension Cables
Hello,
I currently have a Pathfinder radar system installed.
I just purchased and plan on installing a RD424HD radome on my sailboat. The HD424 came with a 10 m cable which runs from the HD424 to the base of the mast. The cable has a data connection and power/ground pigtail on the end at the base of the mast.
I purchased a E55080D extension cable to get me from the base of the mast to the back of the E125 unit at the nav station. So far makes sense.
Now the E55080D seems to be just a data cable and does not have the power/ground pigtail.
My question is, do I also have to run a seperate power line from the base of the mast to the breaker at the nav station to supply power to the radome?
Thanks

NETWORKING/RADAR question
I am now the proud owner of Raymarine e127 AND Raymarine e97 multifunction displays. I also purchased the CHIRP T70243. I am just a novice at installation and networking, so I need to ask a question. To properly network these two devices, I would ASSUME that I will need RayNet switch A80007. I would then (?) run my CHIRP radar cable to this switch, then run cable A62361 to each display? Where this is a wireless radar, I assume I could use the WIFI, but it would not be as quick as the wired connection?
Lastly, I am using transducer B744V, with adapter cable E66066, which plugs into the back of the display. Is there a different adapter cable that will run to the RAYNET switch so I can share the transducer? Or how would I (in layman's terms) share the transducer? What NAVIONICS Platinum+ chart would I use for the waters from Maine to say New Jersey?
MANY thanks for the help, and I am SO proud to have the latest and greatest electronics on my Carver!

RAYSTAR 130 GPS
AND would I connect the RAYSTAR 130 to the same RAYNET switch for it to be shared by both MFD's? I would have a clear view of the sky with one of the MFD's, but thought an antenna would be better to use.
THANKS again!

Navionics Charts for A50
I recently purchased a Platinum + card for my A50 and do not see any instructions in the A50 manual for insertion of new chart cards.
Could you please advise?
Will the A50 automatically revert to the originally supplied charts when the new Platinum card is not inserted?
Thank you
John

a97 display comparability with E66056 transducer
Question 1) I am planning to purchase a a97 pt n# E70233-US and have a transducer PT# E66056 already installed in the boat, is this transducer compatible with the a97 display.
2) Purchasing a EV-100 power autopilot PT # T70154: are there any communication cables or linkages that are required to connect this to the a97 display.
3) PT# T70154: Is this a complete kit or do I need to purchase an additional linear actuator to feed back engine position (engines are two F115 Yamaha)
4) Will be installing the a97 display on center council under a canvas T-Top do I need to install a separate GPS antenna?
Thanks for your assistance. or sugestions

Dual ES128/127 and Navionic's Chart Chip
In the process of having ES128 and ES127 MFD's installed in my Regal 42 Sport Coupe. I primarily use Navionic's Charts. The two displays will be networked together. My question is whether I need to purchase 2 chart chips or can I just use one to support both displays? I don't want to move the chip from display to display. Thanks.

How do I create ask a question or create a comment within this Forum
The Forum term for discussion subjects is called a thread. The Forum term for response to a thread is called a post.
Good Forum etiquette dictates that that prior to creating a new thread, that the Forum be searched for a thread which may have already addressed the subject for which one is seeking information. Should one find such a thread, and the thread not completely address the subject information being sought, then a new thread may be created. To do so,
1) Click on the appropriate for Forum (ex. "Autopilots") to open that Forum
2) Click on the grey "NEW THREAD" button located on the right hand side of the Forum's web page, above the Forum (ex. "Autopilots", etc.) titlebar
3) Fill out the Thread submission form (Thread Subject, Your Message)
4) If adding supporting files, then for each file:
..a) Click on the "CHOOSE FILE" button to display a File Explorer dialog to the file to be attached, and then click on the dialog's "OPEN" button
..b) Click on the "ADD ATTACHMENT" button

A78 vs Dragonfly Pro/DVS
I already run an A77 MFD on my boat and would like to add chirp with a second display. I know the differences between the A series and the Dragonfly in terms of interfacing with other products and touchscreen. However, all I really need to know is if the chirp itself is the same between the 2 units. I know they use a different transom mount transducer, so just wondering if the actual sonar performance and capabilities are the same or not?

DSM 300 Sounder - B117 Transducer Issue
I have a customer with a DSM 300 (v4.20) driving a new B117 transducer which is mounted in a pocket on a Regulator 26FS. Following installation of the new transducer, the DSM 300 worked fine for several hours then lost bottom while showing a snowy screen on the C140W (v1.12) This same sounder works fine with a P79 transducer. I have tried two other DSM 300's with the same result. Is there any sort of issue with a DSM 300 when it is paired with a B117 transducer?

Confirmed Wi-Fi SSID Bug in v16.47?
I noticed after I upgraded to v16.47 that all 3 of my MFDs (a9, e147, & e145) were no longer able to connect to my Wi-Fi. Ultimately I factory reset my Data Master (the e147) and I also factory reset my wi-fi router. What I confirmed was that when my SSID was named "Out of Africa" (exactly as typed) all of the MFDs were unable to connect. If i rename the SSID to anything else, they were able to connect. I confirmed this several times. I ultimately had to rename my entire wi-fi network just so the MFDs could connect.

Follow Route (Reverse) - Mid-Route
Here is an example of the request... I have a route up the Hudson River with 87 points from NYC to Albany, NY. If I travel 1/2 way up the Hudson following the route and then want to return home, there is no option to click on the route and "Follow from Here" in the reverse direction. Instead, I have to Navigate -> Follow Route in Reverse and then Advance waypoint 43 times! This makes no sense at all to start at the waypoint I am currently located at. There should be an option to "Follow Here in Reverse" to follow a route backwards from within the route itself.

Disable Waypoint Advance Alarm/Acknowledgement
Is there a way - or going to be a way - to disable the Waypoint Advance Alarm in the Evolution autopilot? I just purchased a new Prestige Yacht with all Raymarine equipment. My previous Yacht had a third party navigation system which allowed for this. It seems other (competitive) autopilot products support this, but not Raymarine. I don't consider having to look away from the water/front of the boat to acknowledge an alarm every couple of minutes a safety feature. Its more dangerous for me to have to keep looking away from the boats direction at 30MPH and puts myself and the boat at risk of hitting debris during this acknowledgement.
