EVO 100 wheel pilot connection to B&G nema 2000

I have recently purchased an EVO 100 wheel pilot (sail) and am just finishing the install. The wheel pilot needs to be connected to an existing B&G Triton instrument package (speed / depth / wind). The B&G system has a "nema 2000" backbone cable.
Questions are as follows;
1) Do the Raymarine / nema 2000 and the B&G nema 2000 backbone cables have to be connected "end to end" or can the Raymarine backbone be connected to any "T" connector in the existing B&G backbone.
2) What is the Raymarine adapter cable required to connect the 2 backbone cables? Is it one of the following AO6045, AO6075, AO6076 or AO6046 dependent on length and gender of the end connectors?
3) I assume that the Raymarine backbone will not require a 12 volt feed as the B&G backbone is already powered. Is this correct?
4) Anything else that I need to be aware of?

When I have my radar on, my GPS screen remains fixed on the original area I started from. My boat icon will literally move up and off the screen rather than being centered. When I put my radar off, my GPS screen returns to normal.

which radar cable is this?

I recently purchased an eS98 MFD and I am planning the installation/connections. The radome is a RD418HD as far as I can tell (I have zero documentation on it). I'm guessing the cable in the photo is a RayNet cable, but is that the same thing as a SeaTalk(hs) cable, or is some sort of adapter required?

Quick Disconnect Button?

Hi, I have an EVO-400 with a pair of P70R controllers, one for each helm. I think it would be useful to have a way to quickly disconnect "go to Stby" for the pilot while underway. Reaching for the controller is an extra motion and long reach with my installation when in fact the instinctive action one wishes to take is to grab for the throttles to make a power adjustment and disconnect at the same time.

Is there a discrete input available to the EVO-400 or the P70R's that I could use to trigger a disconnect if I were to fashion such a switch at my throttles?

Thanks.

connecting other namufacturers NMEA 2000 compliant devices to the Seatalk ng backbone

I have the EV-1 autopilot with the P70R controller. I have connected a Garmin GPSMap 527xs to the Seatalk ng backbone. This GPS is NMEA 2000 compliant.
The Garmin GPS chartplotter recognizes all the Raymarine devices but the Raymarine P70R controller does not recognize the Garmin GPS.
I have read everything I can find about this problem but with no help. The configuration settings in the P70R for which data source to choose is not explained well in the instructions. It doesn’t matter which data source I choose. The error message appears that says “source selection not possible. Consult manual for more information”. But the manual does not help.

I've installed a new aS98 and a new Quantum but the radar isn't talking to the eS. I used the data cable and have good power to the unit. The eS doesn't recognize the Quantum. What am I doing wrong?

Despite having sent back my DSM300 IN 2014 it once again doesn't seem to send depth numerically to E80s. The fishfinder page looks about right for bottom display but also shows nothing numerically. What can I do?

ST6001+ NMEA and HSB2 SeaTalk interface

Hi,
First post to the forum and I’ll start with apologies for the length of this note. I’m attempting to put together a bit of a hybrid. We have two boats with Raymarine electronic gear. The one I’m writing about has a pristine, fully functional and cosmetically perfect Pathfinder radar/plotter (RL80C+), L1260+ plotter/sounder and a ST6001+ autopilot. I want to add an AIS transponder and have read all the posts here about why that's a problem so we are adding standalone equipment. We only have room for two displays and I love my Raymarine radar. It works flawlessly so am reluctant to retire the entire system. Since my current gear will not support AIS my plan is to retire the L1260+ and replace it with a computer monitor driven by a micro PC running Rose Point Coastal Explorer. It’s my preference to drive the ST6000+ using the PC and will therefore need to feed the AP course computer NMEA 0183 sentences from the PC to do so. The literature I have appears to so how to make that happen.
Here’s my question. Can I configure the RL80C+ as a backup source to drive the ST6000+? Can I leave the SeaTalk cable in place or do I need to isolate the two sources of autopilot data (PC and RL80C+) with a selector switch? Your thoughts and guidance are appreciated.

I60 wind direction problem

I installed an I60 earlier this year and for the most part it has worked well. The last few days, however, the wind has been a bit stronger (15 - 25 knots) and the close haul repeater display has stopped working properly. It just points to the bottom of the gauge despite the wind angle being only 45 degrees. When the wind drops down to 10 knots it starts functioning again. Any suggestions?

Thanks
Tim

EV 200 Compass heading variation

The compass value is significantly different than the GPS or fluid filled unit. Sometimes it is 60 to 70 degrees different. The only time it is close is when heading south at 180 degrees. After viewing a post from 01/08/2016 I took the boat out to Restart Compass expecting to be able to do 15-20 minute cruise of figure eights. A screen quickly popped up saying Task Complete Maximum Deviation 188 degrees. I ran through Dockside wizard again and still not able to Restart Compass.
What do I need to do to have compass values that are within an expected range? EV 200 purchased 08/2015, software V1.11, Deviation was 20 degrees, now shows ---. Thank you for your help, Bob

Quad view not working

Hello,

I have a large plotter network that includes 6 non-Raymarine ONVIF IP cameras. The plotters are able to display the cameras without a problem displaying them one by one. The quad view doesn't seem to work at all. As soon as I select quad view I get a blank screen and am never able to see any of the camera images.

Thanks

I'm unable to find the power cable ANYWHERE and it's different from the SR100 cable I have onboard. Can I access the inside of the SR150 to hard-connect the three wires? Or does anyon know where I can find an SR150 power cable FAST?

ST2000 and TackTick NMEA 0183 Problem

$

Hi, 30' keelboat with existing TackTick network (wind, depth, speed, etc.) including NMEA interface. This is linked with a VHF DSC and a Garmin 720 plotter. I installed an ST2000 tiller pilot and fed it initially with the NMEA output from the TackTick NMEA interface (0183). Routes are derived from the Garmin plotter and display correctly (dist, bearing, XTE, etc.) on the TackTick network. However, when getting the ST2000 to steer the route it consistently takes up a course which is about 35 degrees to left of correct heading. I tried adjusting the declination setting in both network and tillerpilot but didn't change anything. (It is about 18 deg West here).

Changed the feed for the ST2000 to the output feed from the Garmin plotter and everything is fine. Problem is that the Garmin doesn't pass through the wind sentence to allow the ST2000 to steer to apparent wind angle so I lose some functionality.

Any suggestions where the problem may lie or how I can get full functionality?

Thanks,
Colin

Wireless Wind Instruments

I bought a new wireless masthead transmitter two years ago. At first, it worked fine but then it began to transmit irregularly. It will work, then no reading, then work again. There seems to be no reason for when it stops and starts.

Any suggestions as to what might be wrong?

Depth display flashing

I'm interested to learn why the depth being displayed on my I70, e95 and autopilot flashes and occasionally goes blank. In shallow water; approx. 40 feet or less the depth seems to be accurate however; in depths greater then this at times the display goes blank in addition to the depth display flashing consistently at shallow depths. This problem is relatively recent, the equipment resides on a 2013 sailboat and has only been in service for a little over 2 years..

Fuel usage problem

Hi

I'm having trouble with my e127 not reading my NMEA2000 Offshore systems fuel level tank sender. I know the MFD sees it but I can't select its PGN number. The fuel manager seems to default to PGN127497. The fuel level sender is transmitting on PGN127505. It seems crazy to me that Raymarine defaults to only 1 PGN when there are others valid options within the industry. How do I get this to work, it was a very expensive sender?

Thanks
