[CA11] Moving the "Clear Favorites" Button on SXM Audio App

When exiting the channel list on the Sirius XM page, I frequently hit the "Clear Favorites" button by accident. It's immediately under the "X" button to exit back to the main audio page. If you guys could move that clear favorites or possibly have it ask for confirmation it would be very helpful.

[CA11] Axiom Wifi Conflict

I was staying at a marina for the past week that had a public WiFi. We received a password and connected our laptop.

I proceeded to connect my Axiom 9 as always to run a couple of the built-in apps.

Once I connected I was given an error message that the WiFi access point's IP address conflicts with the Raymarine's network. Screenshot attached.

My Quantum radar is hard wired. I do not connect using it's WiFi so I am a bit confused why the error? I spoke briefly to the marina's dockmaster and was told no one has ever complained before and that this is my issue.

I scrolled though some of the setup screens to see if I could change the network on the Axiom and no luck.

Is there a solution to this that I can perform? We will be staying here again and we may also run into this conflict someplace else.

[CA11] Mercury Smartcraft to a78

I have a fully functional SeaTalkng backbone for a78/CPT100/CPT200 also connected to my N2k compatible Level 2 Mercmonitor (MM). Original setup advice given in 2015 on the old tech forum, which I followed to the letter, included the use of an inline terminator to connect to MM.

The one thing I was have never been able to obtain is GPS info to MM. My a78 also did not display the MM as a device on the network. Have always been suspicious of the inline terminator, and last weekend, it with a SeaTalkng "T".

Checking device list afterward, the MM now displays as a device on the network. I thought the issue was finally resolved but still no GPS data to MM.

MM info from a78 device list:

Why am I still not receiving GPS info on the network? Do I need to run the "engine id" procedure (don't care to have engine data displayed on MFD)?

[CA11] RD418HD Antenna Not Rotating

I've got a 7 year old RD418HD radome (it says "HD Digital" on it) paired with a C120W of the same vintage on my sailboat.

About a week ago, after no recent electrical or electronic modifications, I started getting a "SCANNER STANDBY Antenna Not Rotating" message. A restart of the scanner... by selecting "Scanner off," waiting for the cool down, then selecting "Scanner on" on my MFD, reset the problem on multiple occasions.

Now the issue won't go away with a reset. The issue seems to be regardless of voltage level of my boat's batteries (ie. the issue is duplicated both during battery discharge and when the shore power charger is in absorption). The radar had worked fine several times since the most recent winter storage season.

Are there any user serviceable parts or actions I can take inside the radome, such as a drive belt replacement or cleaning, that I can do from a bosun's chair, or at least without shipping it somewhere?

[CA11] X5 unexpected reset

I took my sailboat with an X5 autopilot out a few days ago and found that the autopilot kept trying to turn the boat in circles to the point the autopilot motor would report stalling. Seem like the autopilot was reset and forgot its configuration. I haven't had a problem with the autopilot since I installed and configured it. What could cause a self reset? Thx,Gilbert

[CA11] Element HV Chart Question

Not a techie, so I'm sure the answer is simple. Just not to me.

Took my new Element HV 9" out for a spin today, using the Navionics card. I found that the micro card had to be installed or the chart detail (contour lines, channel markers, etc.) was not displayed and the display useless for general navigation. Remove the card and the detail disappeared. I thought I did what was necessary to upload the charts from the card to the Element, but maybe I missed something. Does the Navionics card have to remain in the machine to have the necessary navigation/fishing data available or can that data be installed into a memory bank in the unit?

If the Navionics card has to be installed to use the navigation charts, how can user data be saved? Is it saved to the Navionics card? It seems to me that daily trip data would be lost if the Navionics card must be removed and another card inserted.

I'm trying to learn.

[CA11] Wheel drive

The drive was taken apart and not reinstalled. The motor turns, but the belt is destroyed. The wheel turns, but it is not smooth, similar to a bad bearing or rough spot on the race.
I don't know which model I have, and I don't see any nomenclature on the motor or wheel.
What information do you need to get to step one?

[CA11] AIS NMEA 2000 MFD Series C Firmware 19 Support

Does the Series C MFD with Firmware 19 Support AIS/GPS from a NMEA 2000 source?
I can see them in a PC application but not in the Series C MFD. I do see the device in the device list on the MFD. I used to have a AIS unit that talked to the MFD with NMEA 0183 and just configured the port and away we went but it died on me. The new unit talks NMEA 2000 and NMEA 0183. Am i missing something in the System config. I made sure to set the NMEA 0183 ports not to look for AIS

[CA11] CP370 Vs. E Series MFD

My recently purchased boat had had it’s electronics mostly removed prior to sale. So, I was searching for a solution to connect to the Through-Hull Transducer that was installed. I have determined this is a B744V (and the removed electronics were Raytheon, according to the tags on the cables). So it seems both the CP370 and E series MFD should be compatible with sensor.

So I purchased a used package consisting of a e7D and CP370. Now, what seems like a very basic question, but I’m unable to find a clear answer— Do I need the CP370? What is the advantage compared to the internal sonar driver in the e7D?

The cable coming out of the transducer has a plug that will mate directly to the e7D, but the connector on the CP370 is different.

Is it possible and worthwhile to procure and adapter to plug my B744V into the CP370? Or just use the e7D?

[CA11] A78 Integrated with ST1 Network

I'm help a friend out. He has a A78 MFD (E70202), an i40 bi-data and ST4000+ wheel pilot. I figured that a ST 1 cable can connect the i40 to the ST4000+ and then a ST1 - to NG converter can be connected to the ST4000. The A78 then connects into the converter with an NG spur cable.

The issue I am concerned about is power. The ST4000+ docs states that the direct connected 12VDC should be used and not power from the ST1 network; I understand that and it's fine. I will have the i40 direct power disconnected. I read in a thread here about a similar integration, that the power from the ST1 network should not be passed to the converter and the NG network. The suggestion was to cut the red wire on the ST1 converter cable. Is this the recommend solution or was this just because of the number of devices on the ST1 network? (This will only have 2 on the ST1).

My other question is if the A78 has the power cable connected will it power the ST ng bus? Or will additional 12vdc tap be required for the ng bus?

[CA11] RMK-9 landscape card

Not sure if this is the correct forum but none of the others seemed appropriate. I have a RMK-9 networked to my Axiom system. It is mounted in the landscape orientation and the landscape bezel/card is weathered and has started to peel. I’ve looked online and can not find a replacement card. Do you have a part number or know where I can purchase one without having to buy a new RMK 9 or 10?

[CA11] Transducer overhear messafw

At the beginning of the season I removed my CP-470 because I added an Axiom Pro 9 RVX MFD. I have a single channel airmar b175 -L connected to an airman chirp transducer junction box (I have not installed the other b175-hw yet) which is connected to my Axiom Pro 1kw transducer port. I am currently getting a transducer overheat message shortly after powering on the unit. I know it is not my RV transducer because I receive the message whether the RV transducer is connected or not. I do not receive the overheat message when I introduce the CP 470 back in to the system. Do you have any idea what the issue is?

Hello,

I know originally the SR100 was paired with the SRA-40 antenna. Will the SR100 work with an SRA-50 antenna? It appears that the major change in the antenna was to conform with new requirements from SiriusXM.

Replaced plotter from C 120 to E95, tried the SPX10 AS new GPS source, the NMEA lines yellow and green wires does not work with the RAY54e on the SPX10, is there any software issues?

[CA11] E90\W not receiving all data from E140\W

I have a E140\W master chart plotter at my chart table and an E90\W on the helm pod. The E90\W is receiving all the chart data except no depth data is being displayed.
Is there a configuration setting I am missing? Rebooting doesn't help.

[CA11] st6002 control by chart plotter

I did something to the E120 chart plotter that told it to take control of the ST6002 autopilot. I guess it was “tracking” .
Since then the autopilot has been displaying an incorrect heading
And behaving erratically, sometimes it drifts to an incorrect heading and sometimes is radically changes direction of the boat. It is not trustworthy.

Not sure what screen or commands I was in when I told the e120 to control the autopilot. Where in the menu does it say that the autopilot controller is on or off?

Autopilot control disabled
this still does not fix the problem. what do i need to do here. it was working fine
until i did something to the E120.

I have a new B66VL aitrmar deucer for Raymarine and I want to connect it to my DSM 30. What adapter do I need from Raymarine? Do you have a part number? The deucer has 2 connectors on the end of it. Would this Cable go into a single connector to plug into the DSM?

[CA11] Fuel level not reading

I know has been discussed multiple times but I need a little bit of dumbed down answer for someone that doesn't know all about electronics and networks. I have an A125 MFD that I have tried to add Maretron fuel level sensors to. I put a 5 way on and connected port and starboard tank sensors via transition cables from Nema 2000 to Seatalkng. I have read and reread the answers from Chuck but don't see or understand how to Assign instance numbers. I have gone through every setting option in my MFD and don't get anywhere. Do I need additional equipment to have these sensors read on my MFD?
