Need some advice about solving a Wifi pairing issue. I tried connecting my WiFish to 3 different mobile devices, but the SSID doesn´t appear in any of the mobile devices wifi network lists. Checked all connections/Power etc, and everything looks solid.


I power up the Wifish, and the RED led lights up, then turns GREEN. The Wifi led starts flashing BLUE, continuously, but the SSID isn´t detected by the mobile device wifi network. I tried manually adding a new wifi network, with the SSID and passphrase, but still no success. Anyway of testing the Wifish to see if it is transmitting and isn´t faulty?

Anything i can check, before sending it back ?

Howdy all Raymariners.

I've just gotten the Element 7 (the first in South Africa I believe).

Very excited to see what this unit is capable of.

I am an avid spearfisherman and am interested to see how the Chirp, downvision and hypervision translates to structure that I can dive and look at. I think this will be a game changer for my diving and in finding that small spot where the fish will [censored] up.

I am going to be scanning for now, up to 40m as I'm capable of diving to that depth.

A quick question though, am I able to implement RealBathy without any charting maps as none of the available maps cover South Africa.

Hi

I have a new boat to which I had fitted an Axiom 9 MFD. The marina, where the boat is kept, has wifi which has a password but the password is entered on a pop-up browser screen. When I connect to the wifi it doesn't bring up a browser screen to enter the password.

The Axiom will happily connect to my iPhone hotspot and the marina wifi works fine on other devices.

I have looked through all the connections but can't find a solution.

Any ideas?

I have 2 Axiom 9s linked together and was wondering if under the GPS settings should I only use the internal GPS on one unit or is it ok for both to be on? Thanks

This illustration in the RV-100 users guide shows three different levels for the RV-100 in relationship to the water flow from the bottom edge of the hull. Is this a good, better, best illustration? I ask because I have mine currently mounted close to example on the left for fear of impacting floating debris. Granted I have not tested the unit yet but if my readings are acceptable I plan to keep it at that height.

3.9 is out with laylines, finally :). But why can we have wind, route ETA as overlays? I'm really missing the top data bar in LH2 with all its data options.If Raymarine what to attract sailing customers you need to understand the importance of environmental information. Maybe, maybe next year LH3 will be in line with LH2

I am upgrading my radar to the new Magnum 4kw 48" open aray and integrating it into a 2006 E120 system that includes Raymarine auto pilot, sonar and gps. Will I need any special cable or adaptor to integrate it into the older Seatalk unit?

What is the best way to clean the axiom pro MFD screen, and side buttons?
Also, is a touch screen, screen protector recommended?

Hi, What is the scoop on the new E70340/1 transducers? They appear to be similar to the B175.

What is the advantage over a B60 vs a CPT high freq 2" unit vs the B60 etc.


No down vision with these E70341/0 ducers I take it?

My client is looking for downvision thruhull bronze for the axiom, but does not want expense of side vision (he would need a pair if this were the case as keel is in the way and no spot for center mount single unit)

I upgraded my MFD from the Raymarine A98 to the Raymarine Axiom RV. I installed my previous Navionics micro SD card and placed it in the new micro SD card slot. I can import my previous routes and way points by selecting the micro sd card but on map selection I am unable to select it. It appears that there is another Navionics maps pre installed from factory.

I was able to update the map on the app, connect and sync with the unit but I don’t see the map so I can selected it from the list of maps.

How do I get the unit to recognize the inserted micro SD with the Navionics map.

Hi - i recently upgraded from a C80 with Radar to an Axiom9. I understand that there is a kit which allows you to re-use the old wire harness to the new Quantum series. Do you have more detail on that kit - does it include adapters for both the radome end and the plotter end?

Also - if i use wireless for radar, does that cosume more power at the radome end and the plotter end?

Hi, I have a vessel in my care that has an AIS-500 transceiver, the vessel's name has changed and therefore, I need to update the name. I presume the interface to do this is RS-232 and using the proAIS2 shareware program. The legacy install manual notes the existence of the comm port but not the wires specifically for that port. What are they?

This winter I added a Backbone and Networking switch. I'm having difficulty connecting the switch to my eS98. What cable is used from the switch and where on the back of the eS do I connect?

I am connecting a GA150 GPS antenna with a pair of Axiom Pro 12 MFD. There is no reception for the GA150. In the Network setup screen, the GPS source will identify both internal GPS sources from the Axiom Pro but does not see the GA150. If I connect external GPS to NMEA0138 input, the GPS is available. NO GA150. Doesn't matter which Axiom Pro I cannot the GA150 to, it does not work (the GA150 Axiom Pro is set as master). Any suggestions? Thank you.

I have an existing Furuno DRS 2D/4D radar unit. It appears to communicate with the Furuno display via Ethernet. The radar head also has a NMEA 2000 connection available. Will this work with the axiom? Do radar heads with Ethernet/NMEA2000 output use standardized formats and protocols?

New installation of EV-200 sail linear. EV1 located in a location without any metal or electronics. During compass calibration the course on the MFD (axiom) showed opposite turning. After calibration it shows 172 deviation. However the autopilot seems to perform ok. I did reset the system three times running though setup and calibration again with same results. I double checked installation as it seemed that the EV1 was pointing backwards, but that is not the case. This is my second boat with EV-200 installation and I have used other models on my other boats in the past. I always installed the systems myself without any problems.

Any tips to solve this issue are appreciated.

A well intentioned guest used a chemical based cleaner on the cockpit displays. They are readable, but not as brilliant as when new. Is there a compound or polish I can use to restore the clear surface?

In my network with 2 Axiom Pro, only the master Axiom can display the CP570 data. The network is working. The lights are flashing on the network switch and the charts loaded on the master is visible from the secondary Axiom. However, the secondary Axiom has no sounder data. Is this correct? I would assume both Axioms on the network can display CP570 data. Thank you your advice.
