[CA11] eS78 new purchase

Happy Sunday
I just recently purchased a new eS78 that was supposed to come with the LNC mapping. There was not a SD card in the box nor was anything loaded in the MFD. Is the unit supposed to come with an SD card or is this something I need to down load??

Does the new wifi-enabled chart plotters, with Navionics charts, support seamless import of routes / waypoints as .KML, .GPX or other file formats?

I'm getting tired of having to convert to the Raymarine .FSH format.

[CA11] Importing FSH files - A Tedious Task?

My E90W plotter requires .FSH files, which seems to only work with one name, namely 'archive.fsh'.

The plotter is unable to process files with any other names, eg. 'archive1.fsh, 'archive2.fsh' etc., or logical file names that identifies the route, eg. 'norfolk-annapolis.fsh'.

That makes it a tedious task to import routes for a 3-week coastal cruise!

Once an 'archive.fsh' file has been imported, it needs to be renamed in the plotter before importing the next 'archive.fsh' file, otherwise the first import will be overwritten.

[CA11] Can a P70R autopilot follow a trail with a a98 maltidisplay unit

I have a P70R power head with a Evolution EV1 sensor core Autopilot ,a98 multifunction display and a Quantum radar.
The auto will fallow a route ,but will not fallow a trail .
I want to use for fishing but can't seem to get it to fallow fishing trail that I made earlier
Can I make this happen thanks

[CA11] Routing - auto-helm challenge

When attempting to activate the auto-helm on a route stored on my plotter, after having passed the first waypoint, I experience that the auto-helm abruptly turns the boat around to go back to the route's first waypoint.

That also happens after the system has been shut down, for example after a night on on the hook, and I want to continue on the same route the next morning.

Since this abrupt action may cause dangerous situations, I assume that that there must be a solution, ie. that the problem is caused by my ignorance and not a fault in the system.

Your help will be appreciated.

[CA11] EV100 & old wind vane - via ITC5

Hi,

I've got an EV100 installed with a P70 display and I recently bought an ITC5 in order to get older data's running on the main screen (P70).

So far Depth is shown ok on the P70 screen but I got trouble on the windvane. The led on the box is ok (as for depth) but the display is showing No wind nor any direction it just display -.-.

The windvane is alledgedly from a ST60+

I'll try to check with the procedure that the windvane works properly (found on the forum a thread about how).

But eventually : am I missing something ? Like is there necessity to have a separate display wich will convert the signals or the P70 is suppose to be enough via ITC5 ?

[CA11] no more Navionics chips

I believe I heard that Navionics is discontinuing making chart chips for the e80 and e120 Chartplotters.
What can i do to continuing using my current chartplotters and radar.and getting updated chart chips?

[CA11] Raymarine C120 x Navionics CompactFLash

Hi Raymarine,

I have a Raymarine C120 radar and when I insert the compact flash, everything works but after 30 minutes, a blue screen appears telling the compact flash was abruptly ejected and EVERYTHING on the boat stops including the autopilot.

I did everything that Raymarine told me and Navionics told me. Recently I bought the new Navionics Compact Flash card with 2Gb which is Navionics Update World. I have upgrade the Raymarine software and did a downgrade as well.

Could you help me please?

Hey all ... it's been a while since I've haunted these forums ... actually the old forums at http://raymarine.ning.com/forum ...

Is that body of posts and answers lost? ... or is it preserved here somewhere?

Is there still a way to merge my old membership (with all the attendant history, links, ect.) with my new one?

Anyways, the (Subject) radome is at s/w version 3.16 ... I cannot find any s/w listings for it on Raymarine's site ...

Moderator - Raymarine, US, please advise on the last / most current s/w version for this radome ... and ... if that happens to be higher than v3.16, how I might go about obtaining it please ...

Also, I am looking to buy an MFD to go with the (Subject) radome ...

Capability-wise, I want Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, HDMI out and more hard controls than not ...

c Series seems OK, except no HDMI out (and the size is limited to 12.1").

e Series seems OK (these I have extensive experience with), except no HDMI out - only VGA out.

NEW eS Series seems like the best option (too bad the size is limited to 12.1")

gS Series offers everything I seek except no hard controls ... experience with e Series has taught me that touch screen functionality can be impacted by a number of factors ... that's why I like hard controls ...

Am I missing anything here?

Question about proper network set up and the amount of LENS:

EV1 W/ACU 150 autopilot
ES128 MFD as master with chirp sonor Raynet connected to slave E127
E70498 Quantum 2 HD Radar
Fusion MA770 Radio
Ray 260 VHF/AIS
ITC5 using speed and depth from ST60. Which also powers the backbone
Mercury Marine Smartcraft Gateway
4 back bone tees with two properly terminated
Approximately 40 feet of backbone cable
Approximately 20 feet of spur cables

With all of that on the backbone off a 10amp breaker powered by the house battery have I set up the network properly. Also have I exceeded the LEMs?

Subject AIS 700. ( new april 2018 ) with AC antenna of 2,8 m high above the boat
My AIS 700 has always worked perfectly, now suddenly I can only receive stations at a distance of +/- 1 nm where it used to be up to +/- 15 nm. The transmission of my position appears to work well and the VHF connected to the same antenna also works well, when I connect the AIS 700 to my PC via ProAIS2 the antenna appears to be OK, but I see that there are only about twenty signals inside come from stations up to +/- 1 nm, where it used to be much more stations up to +/- 15 nm
What can be the problem

[DG11] calbration speedometer

Hi, there is a difference of 1/1.5 knots between my speedometer and the GPS. Now I have the factory parameters, when I calibrate the sensor the difference with the GPS is double. How can I resolve this? .
I have installed a speed sensor DST800 in my sailboat, model DST200 with serial nº 1917885, software version 1.003- 1011 and two displays ST 70 with software version V3.04, hardware version 0590585, bootcode version V1.00 the first and the second: software version V3.04, hardware version 0590783, bootcode version v1.00

Thanks to all for the questions and the mod's for the knowledge and the answers here in this forum. I am a 1st time MFD owner it came with a CPT100DVS. My question concerns the Setup>External Devices> Transducers Setup. Should I expect to see the directly connected CPT100DVS there, or is "External Devices" referring to networked transducers?
Seems to me that the software should enable this MFD to display the fact that there is a directly connected transom mounted transducer?
-Sorry for the newbie question.

is any other course computer interchangeable for the type 100 / 200 / 300 series eg smartpilot S1 / S2 /S3 or others ?

[CA11] RNS 6.1 - Windows 7 Display Issue/Crashing - E120

Onboard PC running RNS 6.1 has been working great for 2 years and now the software will not display GPS Chart/Sonar/Video feeds visually, but is receiving the data in numerical format. In chart mode, the map starts to render and then program crashes and attempts to restart repeatedly (photo attached). The Radar mode however is fully functional, displays properly and program remains stable until you change to another mode.

Windows 7 is up to date and I'm assumed an update caused the issue, but after uninstalling updates to previous versions, still having same problem. Also tried reinstalling RNS 6.1 and even tried 6.0 with no luck.

Intel NUC PC - Windows 7
Raytech RNS 6.1
E120 classic - 5.69 firmware
Seatalk HS network

Any help would be very appreciated.

[CA11] Ais on ES 12 and i 70s

I am running a ES 12 chart plotter with a seatracer AIS transponder. This works transmits and recieves perfectly on the plotter. However i cannot get any ais information on the i70. I saw a thread that stated the plotter does not send any information to the backbone from the ais. If this is the case will the system work if the ais is on a dropper to the back bone and not into the plotter. Or is there another solution that you know of.

[CA11] Replacing M78712 speed transducer (ST60 Tridata)

The Tridata reads 0, even when I twirl the paddle wheel. This follows some intermittent failures. Searched but couldn't find this in forum.

For an ST60 Tridata, is there a current speed transducer replacement? Will it work with the existing thru hull housing or must that also be replaced. Will an old E26031 work with an ST60 and be compatible with the thru hull?

Transducer Selection feature and DownVision, SideVision, or RealVision sounders

When addressing DownVision, SideVision, or RealVision sounder circuitry/features, transducer selection is not possible via the MFD's menus. Within such systems the MFD or fishfinder sounder module will automatically sense that it has been interfaced to a DownVision, CPT-S, SideVision, or RealVision transducer. Within the Fishfinder application, one need simply select the DownVision, Sonar, SideVision, or RealVision sonar channel.

[CA11] NMEA 0183 from e7 MFD to VHF

Hi,
I need to get the NMEA 0183 from the e-series e7 display to my Sailor VHF.
Can I just connect the two wires (Yellow and Brown, NMEA OUT port 2) from the combined NMEA/Power leads to my VHF?
