Lighthouse II map faded to black.

In tracking down another problem on my a98, the Raymarine tech download the newest v17 software in hopes its would be software corrected.

All seemed fine for about 2 days, then the lines on the Heartland map began to blur, depth contours disappeared and the new map shifting into view was pure black. Eventually NO MAP at all.

I had to return to the Basic Map.

Do i need to purchase a new updated map? Is Lighthouse a subscriptions service?

E7D Data Import

When importing routes and waypoints from the Navionics app on my iPhone, the gpx file goes to a different location on one of two MSD cards each time I do an import. How do I define where to put the imported data?

Dock to Dock waypoints list

After couple of tries I was able to create a dock to dock route. Had to first be sure I started in water a lot deeper than the minimum safe depth I entered for my boat. I named the route and saved it. When I accessed my waypoint list there were several new unnamed points listed, which I assume were from the doc to dock routing. Can I delete these? If not what can I do to get them out of the list of named points I have? Also the route I generated and named appears on my chart. I plan on starting several more routes with the same starting point and am wondering if all the names will display at the on top of each other. Thanks

Does Cartography network to multiple displays?

My customer purchased new components a year ago which I installed and now he wishes to add additional functionality and new mfd's. The system installed last year included:
EV200 Autopilot
P70R control
type 1 hyd pump
E15023 Smart Controller
E7D MFD E62355-NAG
A66090 50/200khz bronze thru hull TD

He wants to add:
ES 97, ES98, Q24C Quantum Chirp Radar w/ data cable and possibly an AIS
Will the Navionics+ Cartography network to the ES9 series displays from the E7D or does each MFD require cartography installed? I presume the gps signals from the multiple MFD's will be disabled except for one to avoid system confusion. Therefore there will be a designated Master display, correct?
No software revisions have been downloaded since the install a year ago and I would need to check for updates needed to existing components to insure compatibility.
He desires the larger 9" displays for visual clarity and this will allow charts displayed full screen on one with radar on the second as well as overlay capability on either. The e7d would move to the seldom used inside steering station.
Does this system sound reasonable?

c/e-Series MFD's keypad is not firmly attached to my new MFD

The key mat of the c/e-Series MFDs is designed to float freely above the MFD's keyboard PCB. The left side of key mat is designed to be held in place by tabs on the key mat which slide under a lip on the right most side of the screen. The top and right sides of the key mat are designed to be held in place by the MFD's trim ring.

Marpa issues

I have a new Quantum radar hooked up to an eS75. The Acquire Target option does not come up on the context menu when I select a target.

The MFD is not hooked up to my AP. Does it need speed and heading information from an outside source or does it use it's own SOG/COG information?

is the p70 control head compatible with a 400 course computer?

I would like to install the p70 control head to replace my ST6000+ but am not sure if it is compatible. I read the forum message about compatibility with older course computers but it doesn't mention the 400 so I am not sure. Will I be able to install a p70 with this sytem?

I just installed a Dragonfly 5 pro, why does the Dragonfly 5 power on when I turn on the battery isolator switch?

Also, I just did the chart (Navionics) software upgrade - so many files are now on the chip - which one do I select?

I have a DST800 - I want to put the sensor into an existing airmar housing. I've made sure the sensors are the same length.

The differences between the two are the lack of a gate and a notch at the top of the old housing. Do I use the thick O-ring with this housing --

I'll change to the supplied fitting when I next pull the boat.

Networking a95 to non-Raymarine A/P

Hello,

A friend just purchased a new a95 and I will be installing it for him as I have quite a bit of experience with ST, STng and a/e series plotters on my own boat. He has ST60 instruments and we will be installing the ST1-to-STng converter so they will communicate. Unfortunately, he has a ComNav autopilot (older) with NMEA0183 networking. If he purchases the Actisense NGW-1-STNG converter, will the a95 have full functionality with autopilot control, or can we expect only to share heading info to the a95 and BTW data to the autopilot for tracking to a waypoint?

Alternately, without the Actisense unit, will the heading info be successfully shared with the a95 if we only connect the ComNav NMEA output to Port 1 input of the a95 (which would allow Heading Up, Relative Motion on the plotter)? He has no radar so that is not a concern.

Evolution 200, VFH issue

Updated my AP to the newest version and fished Thursday and Friday last week, odd thing happened that has not happened prior to the update. While on track mode going to a waypoint the AP would disengage if we called someone on the VHF, thought it was just an error the first time, but we tried it numerous times and different points in the day and it always would disengage and say you have reached your destination. I am sure it has to do with the data feeding the VHF for distress but something has to be back feeding into the MFD/Autopilot. It never happened prior to the update, the radio is a Icom.

18" or 24" HD Radome?

I was all set to get the 18" HD Digital Radome and then I read that the 24" would be better because of the narrower beam width.
I know it may be hard to quantify how much better it may be, but is it substantial enough to even notice a difference, particularly when using the new "bird mode"?

ST60 Graphical repeater brightness

I have 2 st60 Graphical repeaters that are in line with an ST60 Tridata, ST60 wind instrument and a head unit for my autohelm 6000. The graphical repeater are very dim at night. I have tried them at all settings and they are much more dim than any of the other displays I have on board.

Is there a fix for this? Is there any way to get at the light source to replace it? any help and guidance would be very appreciated.

48” Open HD Color Array Radar Issues With Lighthouse II software v17.45

Is there a known problem / patch planned in the near future to address an interface problem between the 48” open HD color array radar and Lighthouse II software v17.45? Although not checked with updates prior to v15.61, it has been discovered that since update to v17.45, my radar is unable to return reliable targets under identical conditions when using v15.61 software. The radar does return targets that are known to be incorrect typically at 12 nm from the vessel. Troubleshooting efforts included checking gain settings and operation modes, altering all settings and operation modes, and then returning setting and operation modes back to their original state. It is suspected this issue is related to support for quantum radar interface introduced in software v16.47.

E127 Transducer Dilemma

Deadrise angle measures 15.8 degrees as best as I can get.The B60 E66088 transducer is for deadrise of 8-15 degrees. The B60 E66087 transducer is for dead rise of 16-24 degrees. What do you do when the measurement falls in the middle of the specs? Is the B60 7 or 9 Pin? Thank you.

Saving waypoints error

I went to backup my classic E120 with the same compact flash card I have used for a long time and got this error. I tried to backup just a single track as well as all my waypoints and got the same error so I don't think card is full. Any ideas ?
