My i70s won't allow me to set up a display with a rudder angle gauge on it. I can select the numerical rudder angle, and that works fine and shows data, but the two different "gauge" displays for rudder angle are grayed out and if I try to select them it beeps angrily at me.

I have an S1 autopilot with rudder position sensor attached to it, running SeaTalk1 to two ST50+ (wind and depth) and the ST6001+ autopilot head. Depth/Wind/Speed transducers are connected to an ITC-5, which is connected to the i70s and to the ST6001+ via a SeatalkNG-Seatalk1 junction.

I am shopping for a new laptop and I would like to ensure it functions well for maintaining my Raymarine equipped boat (A75 MFD, Autopilot, AIS650, Ray50) My dealer did not program our AIS and I have to do this so I understand Apple OS is not recommended but do the Raymarine Applications and firmware updates operate off computers that run Windows 10S (ie the Microsoft Surface Go)?

I have the Raymarine ACU 100 auto pilot. what is the purpose of the 3 meter blue and black spur cable compared to the wht and blk cables. and from the backbone, does it go to a particular device? 1) control head ? 2) sensor ?

Is it possible to add an external GPS antenna to an Axiom 9 mfd? I ask this because the location I have available is burried under a hardtop with a full tower above. I don't want to order the Axiom 9 only to find out that the internal GPS reception is poor.

Hi-

I would prefer to purchase several i70s displays instead of a single i70s along with a couple of dedicated function displays. However, it's not clear to me if the i70s can do what I want/need.

Please see the attached image file which illustrates my questions.

How can the i70s wind display page be customized such that it displays a non-shaded gap between port and stbd tacks and also displays wind angle instead of compass heading? In other words, how can an i70s page be customized so the display looks like an i60s display?

Page 52 of the i70s has an image that suggests the non-shaded gap is possible. However, I have not found explicit instructions on how this is done or how to display wind angle instead of compass heading within the same image.

The boat is a 2005 so I figured it is original. Anyway. Just bought the boat. 1st day I go to take it out the machine would not start. Kept flashing. Anyone have any ideas what would cause it? I had to do a factory reset and seems like I lost what ever was on the machine.

I have a 2018 Axiom 9 MFD, touchscreen only, w/radar & gps.
When i swipe my finger across the power icon to turn the unit off, half the time the unit will not turn off.
This failure occurs with other crew's swipes, too.
To finally turn the Axiom off, I often have to throw the in-line power switch off.
This problem happens with the radar off.
This problem has occurred since I bought the Axiom.
Any ideas?

Hi, I recently purchased a sailboat and have updated the MMSI number (via SeaTow) to our new boat name and contact info, and had a local Raymarine tech update the vessel name in our AIS650 transceiver, but when I check multiple online services the old name still shows, both via AIS sites and MMSI lookups. The AIS settings were changed about 10 days ago. It's been about 6 weeks since the MMSI data was updated via SeaTow.

Old name: Resolute
New name: Enigma

MMSI: 338222414

I've double-checked vesselfinder.com using the map function - not searching for the vessel, while out sailing and it showed our position accurately when I did an AIS search, but with the wrong name. (screen shot attached).

I'm at a bit of a loss where to look next. The vessel has:
AIS650 Class B AIS transceiver
Multiple eS78 displays
Quantum Q24C radar
SeaTalk NG

And various other multifunction instruments (i70, P70, etc.), parts and pieces connecting it all together.

I appreciate any suggestions on what needs to happen to get the info correct! - Tom

I recently purchased an ES78... e70265-nag. I bought it for its capabilities of converting my boat to electronic switching. What is the recommended switch control module? Where can I find it? How much are they? I’ve had trouble locating the correct one for this console. Thanks

Is there any where we could download v4.09 or v4.11 software update. Just brought new boat with these installed, software v2.15 installed. We have a 128kb c card and reader to write. Cheers.

I get a gray screen with black lines accross it on my sounder when i turn it on sporadically. sometimes when i power up it works fine, i cannot figure out what causes this ? Can anyone help?

Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere but I have not been able to find a solution.

When manually entering a GPS coordinate into my Axiom, after hitting save the numbers have changed. The result being quite a difference from the coordinates that I want to what is saved into the system.
The unit has done this since I have brought it and I have not had any luck with the supplier or other experts in solving this issue.

I have updated recently but still have the same issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

One of my transducers came with a long crack in the black epoxy.Is this normal and will it effect the operation?

I am buying a new sailboat with an Axiom chartplotter, so I downloaded both the basic and the advanced operating manuals I found online, and never found anything about VMG, even after doing a search for the term.

Does Axiom not show VMG (velocity made good) which is critical for racers?

If not I will have to invest in some other plotter that does.

I presently have a C12 MFD with DSM300 and r199 2kw transducer which I am using for my Plotter and Sounder. I would like to expand and install another MFD to use as my sounder display. My questions are-
What MFD is compatible with my r199 2kw transducer?

What do I need to convert from DSM300 to make the display compatiable.

Gentlemen,

For almost 8 years I had an (now) old set of a ST60+tridata and a ST40wind wired by seatalk1. Also wired by seatalk1 I have a autopilot ST1000+ and a garmins GPS in such a way that autopilot can follow the compass, maintain the wind direction or steer to the active GPS waypoint. Also the power (12VDC) comes from sealtalk1.

Please see attached file "Old_Instruments.jpg".

But the ST60 and ST40 displays got damaged (cracks on the displays and many segments missing) then I replaced them with a i50tridata and i40wind. I kept the old sensors (speed, depth and wind) as well as the ST1000+ autopilot and the garmin GPS.

I also got a cable adapter for connecting the i50 to the i40 (seatalk1 to seatalkng).

The speed, depth and wind sensors remained the same.

But I forgot that the power connection, ST1000+ autopilot and the Garmin GPS remained on the boat wired by seatalk1. So I ended up with a seatalk1 connector on the boat side and a seatalkng connector on the ne i50tridata.

I checked the electrical continuity of the seatalk1 to seatalkng cable adapter so that I know the correspondence between the seatalk1 and seatalkng pins. So that I am figuring out that I can make a homemade seatalk1 to seatalkng adapter.

Worth mentioning that I live in Brazil and there is no stock of Raymarine adapters here (as far as I know).

Would you please confirm that my homemade adapter will work fine?
Or please help me to solve this issue.

Hi,

I would appreciate a quick check to see if I am likely to have any issues if I upgrade to Lighthouse 3 software. My system is 2 eS127 multifunction displays, Navionics charts, an ST7001+ autopilot, Quantum Radar, AIS, depth sounder, and a bunch of old Raymarine repeaters/data display units on SeaTalk (including an old TriData running a stand-alone depth sounder).

The eS127 units are currently running Lighthouse II, version 19.03.

Is it possible to add 3rd party software to the Axiom / LH3?
It's nice that Netflix is there, but I'd like to see Amazon Video added. Is there a way to do this myself?
I'd say more people have Amazon Prime then Netflix...

I am seeking an alternative to purchasing an HS5 unit to connect both, (the already purchased) SR150, and RMK10 to my axiom MFD. Is there a cheaper solution than the HS5?... Also, How do you get the XM radio station to benefit musically, and play the music through the speakers on the previously installed Clarion sound system-from the SR150? Do you connect the 150 to the sound system to allow it to utilize the sirius antenna on it (SR150)-as oposed to the sirius antenna on the clarion radio?

I am trying to avoid purchasing a Raymarine HS5 Seatalk Network Switch, and how to play the XM music from a SR150 Sirius XM reciver (for weather...). Do you connect the SR150 to the stereo to be able to choose the station and listen audibly, and utilize the more powerful antenna?
