Radome noise
Last spring (2017) I purchased a complete new Raymarine setup for my Mainship 30 Pilot including:
2 Axiom MFD's with Navionics+ running Lighthouse III software (v3.4.66)
1 Raymarine RD424HD Color Radar Scanner
EV-1 Sensor Core
i70s Multifunction Instrument
iTC-5 converter
RMK-10 Remote Pad
HS5 SeaTalk hs Network switch
I installed the complete networked system last May/June and had a successful 2017 Summer season with all the components working flawlessly. I updated my Axiom 9's last month with the latest Lighthouse III software update (v3.4.66). This past Monday my boat was put back in the water and I've spent the past few days getting her ready fo the new season. Below, I have made a list of some issues and recommendations I have from my experience with the Raymarine hardware and software since I have been testing it so far this season.
<Raymarine RD424HD Color Radar Scanner Issue>
1) A concerning issue I have recognized since I have my boat back in the water and the Raymarine system back in operation is a strange noise emanating from the radar scanner while it is transmitting. Here is a link to a YouTube video showing the noise https://youtu.be/PBwm2vXHfjU I recorded this with my phone at about 6 inches distance from the radar scanner so you can hear the noise (plus some rattling dishes from the restaurant behind my boat slip). Since the radar scanner is attached directly to the hardtop, I can hear the noise easily at the helm, especially if the hardtop hatches are open. This noise was not present last Summer and there was no similar noise emanating from the Raymarine 24 inch analogue radar scanner I had on the boat for the previous 15 years. The boat was covered and stored this past winter exactly as it had been stored in all the past winters, shrink-wrapped with a wooden frame constructed over the radar scanner to protect it from the elements.

[CA] Marine Weather Alerts
I have two ES127 MFD and a SR150 Sirus Marine receiver on you boat in Tamps, Florida.
The MFD is set up to receive marine warning in a 50 SM radius, BUT I still get weather warning messages of tornadoes in Kansas.
What Have I missed is the setting up of the unit?

[CA] AXIOM Pro Waypoint Heading
I entered my waypoints and the heading is not displayed. The distance is shown to the waypoint, but not the heading. All data is shown in the my data slide for waypoint, COG, distance, etc.
Can't find anything is settings or in the manual to correct this.

[CA] What else to buy
Hi I need some help, I am updating my sailboat and want to ensure that I order all required cables, devices etc. I shall be fitting the equipment in a fairly remote area I want to ensure that I have everything, it has been hard to establish exactly what is in each box.
I am going to purchase:
2 x Axiom 9" MFDs 1x inside, 1x outside
EV-400 auto pilot
Quantum radar with 15m pwr and data cable
I50 &I60 Wind/speed/depth value pack
2 x I70 multifunction displays. 1x near i50&i60. Other 1m from inside MFD
AIS undecided, leaning towards Vesper xd8000 for anchor alarms, suggestions welcome, like the idea of this being WiFi.
Have B&G V50 radio, would like to connect to network. 1m from MFD
What additional cables, devices shall I need?
I am debating whether to get one Axiom with the down-vision option, should I worry about this feature? The only reason for this is if I want it upgrade sonar later??
Is there a possibility that in the future there could be a forward looking sonar? Would that warrant getting the downvision option?

[CA] AIS 250 Install
Good Evening,
I have aC120 Classic MFD installed on my boat with some newer devices networked to it. I have an EV-100 A/P and a Yamaha Gateway Command Link N2K interfaced to the C120. As it sits right now all electronics and devices work well. I just came across a Raymarine AIS 250 and I would like to add this to the menagerie. I have the Yamaha Gateway connected via a Raymarine A06045 Cable. Is it possible to jump in on this connection from the Gateway going to the network or is there a better method to make the connection to the MFD?
FROM THE AIS 250 Installation Guide:
Both 38.4 kbaud IN/OUT ports are connected to the single
NMEA 0183 port on either a C or E-series multifunctional display
with the connected NMEA port configured to 38400.
I believe the NMEA Port on my MFD is being occupied by the Yamaha Gateway, unfortunately I am a few days away from my boat and documentation to verify exactly how it is configured. I am just trying to get a head start on this before I install.

[CA] Dragonfly 7 Blowing Fuses
I recently hooked up my Dragonfly 7 and it would not turn on. After checking a few different things, I noticed that the fuse was blown. So, I bought some new fuses and replaced the blown one, but as soon as I turn on the power, the fuses blow. I read on another forum that the inline fuse in the wiring harness may be bad?

[CA] a78 chart problem
Hello, I am having a problem with my chart display on my a78. It is set on North up and no matter how many times I try to change it to heading up, it will not change. Have turned it of and on, and made several attempts to change within the menu. It is networked to another unit which is set on heading up. Suggestions on getting this unit to change presentation?

[CA] Can't Download newest Lighthouse SW
I have a 2017 Axiom 12 with a Navionics micro SD card. I believe I must update the Lighthouse s/w online as I don't have a Lighthouse card. Recently...a month or so ago?...I successfully downloaded the big new Lighthouse upgrade. But now, when I try to connect and download the newest upgrade (3.3 or 4??) I am not able to. From the boat I have tried the Marina's wifi (slow and a bit unpredictable) and my iPhone hotspot (usually fast and reliable). Over two days I tried several times, and every time got the message "Raymarine server not responding. Try again later." I can't believe your server was down for two days! What am I doing wrong?

[CA] AIS650 to C90W connection
I have just upgraded from an AIS250 receiver to an AIS650 / AIS100 transceiver. I wish to connect to a C90W display. The AIS650 kit comes with a SeaTalkng cable and my question is if I can simply connect the AIS650 directly to the C90W using the supplied ng cable ? To be clear, I don't have a SeaTalk backbone available to use as a bridge.
Alternatively, I can go the NMEA route but I'd prefer to use the SeaTalkng system as it's neater. Thanks.

(DG) Raydata speed transducer
I have an old Raydata on the boat, and I would like to keep it as a back up system. The speed and temperature transducer seem to be not working as the temperature continues to rise almost infinity. the depth transducer works OK.
The current transducer is a retractable transducer in a brass housing. Are there replacement transducers available that will fit in the same housing?

Ray 70 audio
Audio in this unit quit.I was reconnecting hsilet speaker.
Remote mix audio works.
I was connecting it to 8 ohm speaker shared with Raytheon 430 jailer.
Also digital display on remote 1020, 1021, 1022,1023. Back to 24.
Is this the new designation? I thought I read something about that.

[CA] Issues with Networked Axion 9 Units
I thank you in advance for your awesome Customer Support.
- I have two of your axiom 9 units running off of one transducer and networked together using the ray net cable.
- My original unit worked flawlessly last year which is what led me to purchase a second.
- Both units have latest software
Issue/Questions:
- I can run my chart plotter on one unit and fish finder(s) on the second just fine. When I try and run separate fish finders (Ex: Down scan & Sonar) on separate units I cannot. Whatever I display on the master is displayed on the secondary. This somewhat defeats the purpose of having two so I am sure it is a setting issue
- On the master unit when I change from Chart plotter to fish finder and then back to chart plotter two things happen:
1- the range is always set to an insanely large radius showing about 200 miles – is there a way to change the default.
2- it takes an excessive amount of time for the charts to load on the master unit – I get a yellow circle that looks like it indicates status.
Please help .

[CA] Wind Transducer
Hello, I have older Raytheon ST60's and I am not getting a wind speed indication and the cups are not spinning (recently lubed and it spun briefly). Please advise if a R28170 or a R28171 are "plug and play" with the Raytheon?? Do you think replacing the transducer is what I need to do??

[CA] C127 MFD Sonar issue
I have a C127 MFD which has developed an intermittent sonar issue. The sonar will be working properly and then display the error "Selected Sounder Unavailable". The only way to get the sonar back up for a time is to power the MFD off/on. Sometimes it will work for only minutes and other times it works for 30 mins or longer. Seems to last longer at lower boat speed but not always. No pattern.
The sounder being used the the internal one, there is no other sounder to select.

(DG) When turning auto on it immediately goes into figure 8
My recently installed Evo200 with P70R after going through calibration, goes into a figure eight immediately upon power on. When I "commission" I see a message about missing route data?"
