[CA] Setting depth offset

$

Previously I had an ST-40 instrument and C70 MFD. I would set the offset for depth in the ST-40.

I did not upgrade the depth sensor, but did upgrade to an eS98 MFD with the depth, speed, and wind data connected to the system via an ITC-5. I have a P70 in this system as well.

Is there a way to set the offset of the transducer depth in the eS98 software? I have not found so far . . . perhaps there will be an option in the new Lighthouse software?

I still have the ST-40 and tried to connect it using the ST1 to STNG adapter. It powers the ST-40, but no data is shown. Perhaps there is a way to connect this to the system so to set offset.

Thanks in advance,
Robert

[CA] e125 MFD Default Track Naming

Consider changing the e125 MFD's default track naming from "Track1_" to "yyyy-mm-dd-Track_" where "yyyy" is current year, "mm" is current month, "dd" is current day, and "_" is a variable track number for current day. This change supports the ability to quickly change track name to "yyyy-mm-dd" and copy to a computer folder shared with tracks from other days.

Is there a way to "lock" the i70 to prevent accidental changes to the displayed page?
Mine are in an exposed area of my sailboat's cockpit and the buttons get bumped.

[CA] Suggestion for new feature

As a practical matter, there is a big difference in the need to stay clear of large commercial vessels versus small recreational vessels. When in open water, I try to stay at least 0.5-1.0 nm from large vessels, but I don't care if I get much closer to small recreational vessels in harbors, marinas, and mooring fields. Regarding the latter, I especially don't worry about close approaches to stationary recreational vessels (many keep their AIS transmitting even when docked). In many marinas, it is a target rich environment and the constant alarming is annoying and useless.

On my e95 MFD, I can clearly see different symbols for large vs small vessels (probably based upon Class A vs B, I guess). How about allowing users to set different distance/alarm criteria for the two classes? This would be much safer, less confusing, and result in fewer useless alarms.

Thanks for your consideration.

[CA] P70 Software Update Failure

I have a C90W with an ACU400 autopilot control, EV1 Compass and P70R control head. Updated the software on the EV1 first then the ACU 400 with no problem. However, when updating the P70R, it would get to about 30 - 35% overall update then I would get "Data transfer to target has failed". Tried several times with same result. Also shut everything down, restarted and tried update again. Same result. Initially used to the group update file that had all three updates on the Raymarine download, then also tried downloading just the P70R update. All had the same error message.

The P70R has bootcode 1.01 installed and is at version 2.12 now. Any ideas how to correct update errors? I am concerned that with the EV1 and ACU 400 updated that the P70R will not interface properly with out the update.

[CA] Help please! Dragonfly 7 Pro Transducer Mounting

$

My boat (Bass Tracker 175) has a step-in transom, and I find that IF the bracket of Dragonfly 7 Pro were installed vertically (as we do normally), the transducer would sit too low; I am wondering if I can mount the bracket horizontally to the bottom of the boat (the horizontal/flat side of the step-in transom, as shown in the picture). I am worried that if I mounted it in this way, the bracket itself would cause disturbances.

Any suggestions are appreciated! Thanks!

I note on the advanced user guide , depending on transducer you can pick high, medium or low chirp channels. I have an Axiom 9 with RV-100 transducer, should I be able to select these options with this transducer ?

Thanks in advance

Just bought a CP200 side view and wondered if the rv 300 thru hull or some other type of thru hull that would work that's a thru hull instead of the cpt 200 transom mount transducer.

What is the current part number for the Ball Joint Kit and rod? The kit used to be part number D143, but when my Raymarine dealer searched they couldn't find that in the price list. I don't see this listed anywhere on Raymarine.com.

[CA] Axiom Side Imaging

My question is if you might consider adding the option to add a button to the side imaging screen where you could access the screen speed directly vs going into multiple menu's to get there.

For anyone who really utilizes the side imaging to it's max, this is a critical adjustment to get good images, matching the screen speed to the boat speed.

(DG) E12091 with C90W

My question is will a E12091 autopilot control unit (with correct compass and rudder sensors) work with a type 1 Octopus hydraulic pump (10A max). Communication and control will be using Seatalk 1 with ST60 instruments connected to a Seatalk 1 to NMEA 2000 SeatalkNG bridge (works with ST60s now). The NMEA 2000 is connected to C90W. I want to use the C90W as the sole control head for the autopilot. Please advise if I can calibrate and control the E12091.

Operation of Autopilot functions through a C90W

A C90W Multi Function Display cannot be used as the sole control head for a SeaTalk Autopilot such as an S2G system and it cannot be used to calibrate or control the Autopilot.

The C90W has a limited function for Autopilot control, limited to basic operation such as AUTO or STANDBY as well as course changes, so, unlike the current generation of Raymarine Multi Function Displays and Autopilots, it cannot be used as a sole controller for the autopilot.

There must be a conventional ST6000 style control unit (ST6001, ST6002, ST7001, ST7002) in the SeaTalk system connected directly to the S2G computer using SeaTalk, to be able to access the full range of functions as well as to access the extensive User levels of calibration in addition to the Dockside, SeaTrial and Dealet levels of calibration available.

In addition to the above, the C90W would not be able to be used to calibrate the Autopilot.

It would be possible to use a P70s or P70Rs control unit, click here for more details

[CA] Two axiom issues

$

Hi guys. I just finished installing my new axiom 7RV, i70s, ray60 and a fusion ra70n radio. All on a newly built n2k backbone.

I have two issues.

1- When I first power on I can see and control the Fusion on the axiom. After a minute or so it tells me no audio device found. Any thoughts? Both the Fusion and the axiom are on their latest firmware.

2- I'm trying to check for updates through the axiom to the i70s and Ray60. Whenever I try it keeps telling me "unable to connect to Raymarine server." I've tried two different Wi-Fi networks and tethering from my phone. I was able to update my axiom this way a few days ago with no issues. What could I be doing wrong now?

Thanks everyone!
Brad

[CA] Raymarine compatability

I have a pair of raymarine c120 screens from 2004. One of the units is connected to a dsm300 for depthsounder with a b258 transducer. About 4 years ago, the thermistor in the transducer went bad. I purchased a separate transom mounted transducer and connected with a y wife and the temperature worked again for about a year. I replaced the transom transducer and it never worked again for temperature.

I would like to replace on screen with a unit that can be hooked to a new higher powered through hull transducer. What current models ina 10 or 12 inche screen are available that could also tie into the current c120 screen?

Alternatively, is there a transducer and Dsm module That I could buy to integrate to c120 that would fit in same [censored]?
