Radar not displaying images

We recently had to disconnect our radar array (HD color) from the arch for dry land transport. When it was reconnected, the array spins but is not showing images on the display (e97). Zooming in and out on the display you can see some small dots and the faint path of the refresh but it is not displaying the proper land/objects. I tried adjusting various settings but nothing has fixed the issue. Any idea what the problem is?

Viewing .gpx track file

OK, I'm stumped. Searched the forum but can't find the answer.

I downloaded the data from my e7 to a card and now have it on my Windows 10 laptop.

Many programs have promised to show me my tracks, but none has succeeded.

Google Earth came closest, at least loading the waypoints.

I downloaded the Raymarine Voyage Planner, but it seems to need a purchase even to view the existing file.

So, how do I view .gpx tracks on my computer?

Thanks in advance...Ralph

All my stored routes and way points show up on my E127 all the time. I only want them to display when it is active. How to I eliminate them from my display?

Connecting Horizon gx2200 GPS

I have:
i50 speed, i50 depth, i60 wind instruments. They are connected to each other, and powered directly. There is no SeatalkNG backbone.

Standard Horizon GX2200 with built in GPS and NMEA outputs.

A laptop and USB-RS-422 interface.

I have tested the GX2200 directly to the laptop, and that works. I want to also connect the GX2200 to the instruments to provide them with GPS data, and also provide instrument data to the laptop.

I purchased the VHF NMEA 0183 to STng Converter Kit thinking that would work, but after reading the manual don't think that it will. It seems that it will only provide GPS data *to* a radio from the SeatalkNG network, not the other way. It also doesn't seem to support anything other than GPS data, so won't help get instrument data to my laptop.

What do I need to interface the gx2200 GPS to the instruments, and then take the combined instrument and GPS data and interface to the laptop?

Are the VHF NMEA converter and the Seatalk1 to SeatalkNG converters the same device, just with different cables supplied? Or are they completely different?

Hi Chuck,

I have an older Navionics Gold Card with waypoints from my Dragonfly. What would be the best way to upload to my new Axiom 9 unit? I am in the process of getting a new Navionics + card.

How do it enter time into my Raymarine products?

How do it enter time into my Raymarine products?

Raymarine products do not support entry of time. Instead, Raymarine products are designed to receive time and date from the system's GPS sensing device (ex. Raystar 150 GPS Sensor, MFD w/internal GPS receiver, etc.), which in turn receive this data from the GPS satellites. The time and date information provided by the GPS sensing device is Coordinated Universal Time (UTC / GMT) rather than local time. In order for Raymarine products to report local time, the operator must correctly configure the Local Time Offset configuration setting within one of the system's devices to match that of one's local time offset of one's locality adjusted for Daylight Savings (if applicable). Raymarine products do not support automatic application of Daylight Savings time. Correctly configuring the system for local time is required to permit systems which support displaying tide and current data to correctly display tide and current information for the local time.

Low Chirp Sonar Axiom

Hi support,

Just wanted to say I've been very pleased with my new Axiom so far and excited to see how it improves with future updates.

I have the RV-100 transducer and I know it has 4 channels. I tried searching the forum for some specific information on this.

1) Does this transducer give me the capability to adjust the frequency to a lower chirp? Or is it only high chirp?

2) If it's only high chirp what Axiom transducers give me the capability to have a lower chirp?

Thank you

Axiom RV transducer installation

Hello,

I am in the process of installing my new Axiom 9 with the RV-100 transducer. I plan to include my existing B60 transducer by means of an A80491 Y cable. I have ordered the Y cable through West Marine. In the meantime, I would like to get as much of the installation completed as possible so I have some questions.

Q1: Can you tell me the length of the A80491 Y cable so that I can route the RV-100 and B60 cables appropriately?

Q2: Is it possible to predict how the outdrive will affect sonar performance?

Calibrated my compass and then my auto pilot worked for about 20 miles. Suddenly I received an error message "RG Fail"; I had to disengage the unit. I cannot find this message in my handbook. Would appreciate your feedback.

Raymarine Smart Pilot S3G

I have a Raymarine S3G autopilot on my 50 foot pwer boat.
I have been informed that the computer is faulty and advised to replace it for a Raymarine Evolution series computer and core pack cost about 1,200 usd without additional control head.

I have been told that I do not need to change the existing steering pump ?
I have been told it will integrate with the C120 chart plotter.

The main problem is that I cannot take any new wiring to the fly bridge where there is the existing ST 1002 Control head and C 120 chart plotter second screen.

My questions are.
Can anyone confirm that the existering steering pump etc will work with the evolution computer.?
Can I use the existing wiring to the control head on the flybridge if I use an adapter.?
Can someone kindly talk me through this.
Thanks in anticipation.
Stephen.

Arrival alarm

Equipment: Electronics system: e95 chart plotter, Seatalkng network, EV-1 Autopilot, Tactic wind routed to network through Raymarine T122, Noland AM43, Actisense NGW. The e95 is seeing the wind data on the network.

I set up a test race course. When I was about 50 yards from the first mark, I got a loud "arrival alarm" which was distracting since it had nothing to do with rounding the mark. Can that be turned off or changed to something more useful?

I ordered a RAM mount for my Dragonfly 7, but the head was too small. I'm assuming it is designed for the smaller Dragonfly's. Is there a RAM mount that works with the Dragonfly 7 Pro?

boat icon facing wrong way

I have an es127. Most of the time the boat icon is facing in the right direction on the chart (course up). When we get close to port, the icon faces perpdindcular to the the direction it should be showing. In fact it appears to show as if we are moving sideways. Inhave also tried changing charts, Navionics, c-map, etc. and it makes no difference.

This does not happen all the time. I have tried changing from heads up to course up to north up when this happens and the icon remains perpendicular. What can I do to have the icon point in the dierction we are moving?

No option for NEMA in setup pages

My a78 does not offer/have any NEMA page from the main setup page. Could not understand why the SeaTalk is not picking up the data out from Std Horizon GX2200VHF. I have the converter for SeaTalk to NEMA 1083 converter and cable. It is powered. Looked in FAQ and got nowhere.

Autopilot abrupt U-turns

I have a fairly extensive Raymarine system on my 40' sailboat, including an X-30 autopilot, an ST70p controller, and a Type 2 Short electrical actuator, as well as a rudder position sensor and a fluxgate compass. I also have an e95 MFD at the wheel and an e127 (which just replaced an e125 that abruptly failed a few days ago) at the nav desk.

Twice yesterday, the autopilot suddenly made a hard left turn. In one case, the boat had turned 180° before I could get the ST70p to turn the autopilot to Standby; I suspect, but do not know, that the hard left would have continued longer. The second time, I managed to gain manual control (Standby) before the boat had turned 90°.

In both cases, when I looked at the ST70p display, it appeared to be re-booting. After it completed whatever it was doing, the autopilot resumed normal function (until the next time, of course).

What could possibly be happening to cause this? It could be fatal under certain circumstances (e.g., if it suddenly turned me in front of a high-speed power boat or ran me up onto rocks).

I am especially disturbed by the behavior when the ST70p appears to reboot. I would think that the safest behavior for an autopilot that suddenly loses its controller would be to continue in precise the direction it was already headed, not make an abrupt turn to port.

In the interests of full disclosure, I should mention that it's possible that I may be having an electrical power problem. I recently installed a Ray70 VHF with a Remote Mic and I sometimes get the message "Inadequate voltage" or something similar when powering the remote mic on. In addition, a few days ago, my e95 abruptly decided to reboot in a very dicey situation.

HELP!

Lost Quantum Wifi connection

Yesterday while out boating, I turned on the quantum radar. It worked fine for a while and then suddenly stopped working. I checked the fuse (good) and tried to re-pair with my eS78-no luck.
Today I tried again to re-pair with no luck. I did a system reset and that didn't take care of the problem. I took the radome off to verify that there was power at the plug (there was). However, I noticed that I could hear liquid (water) splashing around inside the radome. I'm not sure how water could enter the enclosure.
I looked at the FAQ addressing the connectivity problem and followed the procedure closely.
I noticed that the MFD was showing that it was v17.45 (I think it had been v17.46 before I did the system reset). I downloaded and installed v19.03 firmware.
I don't know how to verify the Quantum software since it does not show up in the maintenance devices screen.
I triple and quadruple checked the SSID and passcode.
The wifi is set to "On"
I tried to verify the wifi communications circuitry with RayViewer as well as RayRemote. Both said they were connected to the MFD wifi but neither would find the display.
I pulled the fuse to the Quantum and after a short time I reinserted it.
I again tried to pair with the radar and again was unsuccessful.

Axiom 9 RV with CPT-100 transducer

I have an existing CPT 100DVS Transducer. It has a 9 pin connector. When I reached out I was told the Axiom 9 RV was compatible and that I would be able to upgrade to the new transducer at a later date. It didn't dawn on me till it arrived the connection pinouts were different. How do I get the 25 pin to 9 pin connection - I have been told different parts on two different calls to Raymarine, but this was before any of the parts were even released. I see a 25 pin to 7 pin adapter and also a 7 pin to 9 pin adapter. I don't think daisy chaining adapters is the right thing to do, but any other thoughts?

The new transducer will require boat modifications to the channel for me to pull the connector through and I am not ready to do that yet.
