Is it possible to connect a BV744 Transducer to the Axiom 7 directly or can it be connected using a CP370 or CP470 module.

X5R communication with chartplotter
I am installing a SmartPilot X-5R that I bought new several years ago and was not able to install at the time. I have connected a Lowrance HDS8 chartplotter using the NMEA 0183 connection as I want to use the compass data from the Lowrance. I did not connect the fluxgate compass. When I power both units up, I do not get compass data on the display (it just displays dashes). I connected a LED across the output from the Lowrance and it is sending a signal. Any thoughts?

Axiom
I'm trying to decide to pull the trigger on the new 9" Axiom RV and have a few questions about the unit.
When using the Real Vision 3D sonar does it have the capability to mark a way point on a specific target while in that view? From what I have read it seams that you can only mark a way point at the current boat location unlike while viewing in DV or SV you have the ability to scroll back and set a cursor on a specific target. I want to know if this is possible in RV 3D?
Does this unit have the ability to record all sonars especially in RV 3D? If so how long of time frame and does it give you the ability to play back on the unit to mark a target for a way point?
Thanks

S100 No Pilot
My S100 remote connected to a base station connected to a ST to STNg gateway once or twice a day will show a no pilot message even though it shows connection to the base station and if "Standby" is hit the EVO autopilot goes into standby. I can correct the problem by removing/reinserting a battery in the S100. Base Station or S100 problem?

Axiom Chirp and Downvision images
I tested my Axiom this weekend and couldn't figure out why I was seeing fish using the Chirp screen, but not on the Downvision. I could see the bottom of the bay, but no fish. Is there a setting on the Downvision that I'm not aware of?

EV-100 or EV-200
I have a 2007 320hp Mercruiser mx 6.2 MPI Bravo III MCM. I am trying to figure out which Autiopilot to purchase for trolling on the Chesapeake Bay. I will also connect it to my NMEA 2000 backbone which has a Raymarine Axiom. Any suggestions?
I contacted Mercury and they provided the following:
The MC Steering Cylinder is an unbalanced design.
Bore Dia: 1.382”
Rod Dia: .562”
Full Stroke: 7.98”
Extend Area: 1.500 In2
Retract Area: 1.252 In2
Extend Volume: 11.97 In3
Retract Volume: 9.99 In3
What do I need to find out regarding compatibility with my engine? Thanks

VHF Ray 55 Receiver issue
I've got a (4 year old) Ray 55 that can transmit fine but does not receive signals. I've verified the transmit using a handheld and can communicate with other boats and bridges just fine. The problem is in the receiver. There is static when I open the squelch, and unless the transmitting station is very close to my boat, I don't hear anything. If an adjacent boat transmits, I can BEARLY hear the transmission in the static with the squelch open. It won't break the squelch if it's set to just above full quiet. I also cannot receive any weather stations. My portable marine radio can pick them up just fine while next to the Ray 55. I've put a new extention antenna on the Ray55, replaced the PL259 and verified all the connections are good and the voltage is WNL. Problem started last season.
I've seen a number of posts on the web that seem to indicate this becoming a common failure for this radio. Sounds like an issue with one of the crystals in the receiver. Has anyone else experienced this problem and if so, how was the problem corrected?

Axiom 9 and RMK-10
We are planning to add an Axiom 9 to our binnacle location (48' sailboat). E and ES series MFDs (as I understand it) use the hard controls in case the touch screen isn't operable due to water splashing, rain, etc. The new Axioms do not have hard controls, but the RMK-10 is sold as a separate remote. We will also have an Axiom 7 at our nav station, so it's not like we totally lose control of seeing charts. The question becomes, is an RMK-10 required or advised when using an Axiom MFD in outdoor/exposed conditions?

Engine temperature
My es78 reports my engine temperatures as being well above the Thermostat opening temperature. The thermostats are fully open at around 155° (measured with an accurate infrared thermometer at the Thermostat housing) while the mfd reads 215°. At those temperatures I would expect the engine alarm to be blaring. The water coming from the telltale is warm, not at all hot.
Is there a way to calibrate it to get reliable info? I am now questioning the accuracy of the other engine data (rpm, fuel flow, hours, etc.) I got this unit to take the place of all the guages due to limited dash space and need to be able to rely on it.

I have a 2010 SPX5 wheel pilot with C90W MFD and ST60+. The motor is not operating, the case where the cable connects is cracked. Question 1, can I get a replacement motor for this system, where and how much?
Question 2, can I convert this system to a linear hydreaulic drive and get rid of the wheel mounted system without replacing the course computer, drive head and MFD?

Ray 54 not transmitting
I bought a 1999 Pursuit 2870CC and it had a Raymarine Ray54 VHF radio in it. The radio receives fine, even out 25 miles from shore. Upon trying to do a radio check, the radio would kick down from HI power to Low power and no transmission would go through. After speaking to an electronics person they told me it could possibly be a low or weak battery. I put in a new 12volt battery and a land charging system for the 3 boat batteries. I still get the problem. I also changed the antenna splitter and got a seperate antenna for the UHF radio, and put the VHF on it's own antenna. I still get no transmission, however, it no longer kicks down to Low power from Hi power after these changes. Is it possible I have a short in the microphone?

Axiom
Greetings,
I am slowly have to upgrade my legacy electronics.
I added an A98 to run a CP570 depthsounder, Just replaced my 10KW radar with a new 12KW which I am controlling with the A98.
My E120 buttons are starting to stick badly.
I would like 2 12 inch screens at my main helm. I also need to replace an E80 in my tower.
My tower unit is in a Navpod, my main helm is flush mounted.
I have an 8002 autopilot that is still working fine.
When I bought the 12KW the vendor I bought from did not realize that I needed a separate power cable causing me to jump through a bunch of hoops to get a cable quickly.
What do you recommend and what will I need to connect all of the components?
Thanks

Trouble with Sea Talking to Sea Talk Converter
As I had mentioned in another thread, after adding a Sea Talking to Sea Talk converter to my EV 200 pilot to communicate with my older Sea Talk devices it quit receiving data after working for several weeks. Everything worked fine on this new install other then the track function on the pilot head which would just read No Navigation and beep when I tried to go to a waypoint on the chart plotter. The data boxes on the pilot head displayed all the information from the various units within the system and the converter blinked the Healthy/Healthy code of 8 second cycle. Now, no data in the data boxes except Heading which is coming from the sensor. The LED light now remains solid on, on the converter. All connections are secure. I was willing to live without the Track feature but was using the other information on the pilot head such as Bearing to waypoint and Cross track info to manually command the pilot to the waypoint at a glance. Now I have no data period to the pilot. Yet, the pilot seems to steer pretty good with no speed input or other info. Any idea what might be going on? I miss the data being displayed at the very least. Would really be happy if I could get data back AND get the track to work too! Thanks, Walt

e127 Requiring Frequent Touch Screen Alignments
For the last year or so my display has been getting out of alignment more often. Last weekend I could not get the blue reset boat icon riding in the upper left hand corner to operate. No matter how close to the left side of the screen I touched, the cross mark would appear about 8-10 mm to the right of the icon so it would not operate. 3 standard alignment procedures no change. It required two precision alignments to make it work. This was the first time precision alignment was needed to fix this problem. What's going on?
