(DG) R55006 functionality?

hi,

i need to join 2 4 wire gps cables. unfortunately the connection will be outdoors. rather than do 4 butt connectors and heat shrink, i thought about using a R55006 "connector box". is this an appropriate use of this product (i.e. outdoors)?
