EV-100 wheel pilot pedestal bracket too large

I am installing an EV-100 onto an older Edson pedestal whose diameter is smaller than the curvature in the supplied pedestal bracket.

I have drilled the holes and fitted it temporally but I need to find a better solution.

I assume that the bracket base is not bendable to conform to the pedestal so what are my options?
