Adding a Merc Pro Kicker 15hp

I’d like to update the AP to run the kicker via EZ rod solo, while using the main to steer as well. (Uncle Norm’s Orca fin??)

I was told there was a conversion done previously and it no longer needed the res tank that should be mounted on the transom. Please forgive my ignorance, I’m used to a 14’ john boat for crappie fishing not trolling a Great Lake for salmon.
