I am getting a new boat and will install an Axiom 9 i’m Thinking of using a through hull transducer instead of a transom mounted one. My boat will be in saltwater until October. Will the transducer need antifouling paint? If so what type should I use. On my old boat I had a transom mount and just wiped it off every few days with a scotchbrite pad.
