This post is being made to inquire if a low transducer voltage alert message at startup of a CP-200 sounder module / CPT-200 transducer should be a concern. For approximately 60 second after start-up my multi-function display (MFD) shows a low transducer voltage alert message while at the same time the CPT-200 LED indicator flashes the five amber alert for low voltage alert.
After 60 seconds passes, the alert message disappears, the CPT-200 LED flashes normal operation green, and the MFD shows a normal transducer display (note this is a new installation on land and has not been water tested yet). Voltage at a switch serving the CPT-200 of 12.77 volts was measured more than 60 seconds after startup. “Round-trip” wiring is less than 20 feet with 12 AWG wire.
The question is should this short alert message be a concern or is this a normal message at start-up.
