Just purchased the NGW-1-ISO-AIS suggested on your site. Can you supply me with a wiring diagram? I want to be sure everything is correct before applying power. Thanks.

[CA11] AIS 700 stopped transmitting positions

For the last several days my AIS 700 stopped transmitting my boat position.

I can see two error messages in proAIS2:

1 AIS: Tx malfunction
69 AIS: Low forward power

See also the attached screen shot. GNSS status looks good.

What is the likely culprit?

[CA11] International Charts for E80

My E80 loads charts from a Compact Flash drive. It looks like the previous owner bought Chart cards preloaded with New Zealand and other charts. And I found where you can buy some of these on the Navionics site. However I am looking for Pacific Mexico and South America charts which don't seem available through Navionics but are available through Blue Latitude and Fugawi. Can I buy these charts, download them to PC and move them to a CF drive and load in the E80? Or what is the recommended practice?

[CA11] SPX30 resets STng network when switched on

I have an SPX30 course computer on a small STng network. Also on the network are an iTC5, Axiom 12, i70s and p70s. The network is powered through a power spur cable connected to the iTC5. If that power is switched on and the instruments allowed to come up, then the SPX30 is switched on, both the i70s and the p70s reset and reboot. This is quite repeatable. Both power connections are to the same 12V bus, on different breakers. The seatalk power switch in the SPX30 is off, I've even pulled the fuse for it as a test.

Is there an incompatibility latent in the SPX30 that causes this? On my other boat with a far more extensive STng network and ST70 instruments, this does not happen.

It has only caused a problem one time, when the p70s did not reset cleanly and went dark. The whole system had to be power cycled to get it up again. Nevertheless it does not seem right.

Hallo,ich besitze ein Raymariene ST 1000+ diesen habe ich in einer Notlage bei achterlichen Winden kurz in Betrieb genommen dabei wurde die Schubstange gestaut und bewegt sich nicht mehr.Im Hafen habe ich den Autopilot aufgemacht und festgestellt das bei einen Antriebsrad die Zähne abgeschoren sind.Meine Frage:kann ich diese Antriebsrad bei Raymariene bestellen oder mus ich den Autopilot einschicken?

Hi, I own a Raymariene ST 1000+ I have in an emergency in aft winches briefly put into operation while the push rod was jammed and no longer moves. In the harbor I opened the autopilot and found that the teeth are shorn at a drive wheel .My question: can I order this drive wheel at Raymariene or do I have to send in the autopilot?

I have an old autohelm tridata which I assume is the same as the raymarine i40 and I need to upgrade. Will the new transducers in the i50, i60 be the same size as the old tridata? I have no info on the old units but they are separate speed and depth and removable with plugs and a flapper (?) to restrict water inflow. I also have a repeater that's not really neccesary. Not anywhere near the boat to measure.

Q1: Will the Echo Pilot Forward Looking Sonar (FLS) connect to the Axiom Pro MFD to display as video via the Power / Video out / NMEA connection interface?

Q2: Where is the wiring schematic for the Analog video connection shown on section 4.9 of the Axiom Pro MFD Installation instructions?

[CA11] Axiom new UAVapp compatibility with latest DJI mavic 2pro

I have an Axiom with the latest firmware including the new UAV app and I also have the latest DJI mavic 2 pro UAV released end august 2018.
The Axiom UAV app does work OK with the older DJI mavic pro which is going to be discontinued soon by DJI but it does not work properly with the new mavic 2 pro, compatibility is only very partial at best and this make for dangerous flying’ thus making the use of your app with the latest mavic 2 pro effectively impossible.
It is a tremendously good idea to include this UAV app in the Axiom and considering the mavic pro is the most used UAV in the world by far, this compatibility choice was originaly the best, however, considering that the mavic pro will be soon replaced by the mavic 2 pro, I would suggest that you update the UAV app to be fully compatible with both the mavic pro and the mavic 2 pro.
Those two UAV’s are in fact very similar and making this upgrade should be easy and fast because DJI has already released the software develloper kit for the mavic 2 pro which is very similar to the Mavic pro SDK that you used to devellop your exsting UAV app.
I therefore suggest that you forward this request to your engineers because the existing mavic pro will be soon Discontinued and replaced by the mavic 2 pro.

I congratulate you again to have implemented this very innovative UAV app which put you one more step forward from your competition.

[CA11] Rn300 to a78 by wifi

Hello everything,

I have an old rn300 on a navpod. An st4000 wheel pilot, i50 depth and speed, st60 Wind all connected by Dominos. I want to connect all this by wifi (via yakker wifi hub) to an A78 mfd in front of the chart table without passing cables.
1. Will the a78 receive nmea 0183 informations?
2. Will the A78 become slave or master?
3. Will the A78 plug and play thé other sévices?

I performed a search but failed to locate an answer. I can only mount or install the p70r on the starboard interior wall of my boat. No room remains on the dash. Can the p70r mount in any position or orientation without affecting performance of the autopilot? In my case, the p70r will face port with the unit’s back to starboard opposed to a traditional mount of facing stern with unit’s back to the bow. Thank you.

[CA11] Accessing wind vane mode directly from Axiom MFD

As more and more boaters use Axiom MFD’s on sailing boats, are you considering making direct access to wind vane mode directly from the Axiom MFD??
The present wind vane mode being only accessible from the pilot controller is not very convenient on sailing boats, specially for bigger ones where the MFD is inside at the chart table and the pilot controller is outside at the helm position

[CA11] Axiom 7 & X-5 Wheelpilot conflict

I have installed the Axiom 7 and have it working what appears to be correctly, with all of the current software updates to unit and Navionics chart card.
When I introduced my Raymarine X-5 wheel pilot to the new network I get a conflict difference in heading displayed on the X-5 control head. It is approximately 65 degrees out from the ship's compass. I get that it will be a little out, but not to this degree. Curiously, this position is echoed on the Axiom screen showing the ship icon skewed at approximately the same angle.
The collective system will not follow a route, but will follow to a single waypoint.
I went through the set up again and re-set the X-5, and again it has gone to the same angle offset.
My best guess is the Axiom 7 and the X-5 don't understand each other.
could be 0183 vs 2000 (though they are connected thru a SeaTalk port)

I am tempted to chuck the old Autopilot X-5 and replace it with a new one, but I am not going to do this without a clear understanding of what's going on. The two products are from the same manufacturer so it should work. Curious also that the old Standard Horizon chart plotter never had a problem with the X-5

Hi,

I have been searching the forum and can't find the answer to this kind of old question.

I just got a new SeatalkNG pilot, and want to interface it with my old ST60 instruments. I have a Seatalk>SeatalkNG converter.

What I would like to know is if I can splice into my existing Seatalk network in order to provide data to the converter. I have three ST60 instruments at the help and an ST60 Graphic Display at the mast. The Graphic Display is the only open Seatalk port. It's quite a big deal to run a cable from that display to the rear of the boat where the EV-1 and ACU will reside.

Oh, one more thing. Back in the day of fluxgates, I believe you were to mount them on the centerline of the boat if possible. Am I okay to mount the new EV sensor toward the rear of the boat and a couple feet off center?

[CA11] Can I get Chirp with my C127 ?

Hi! I bought a boat a few months and it came with a Raymarine C127 unit, after a couple months of struggling to find fish I realized that it didnt come with a transducer because the transducer plug in the back of the unit is empty. I want to get a transducer for this unit and I was wondering if any of the CHIRP transducer would be compatible with the unit. Thanks, Tommy

I have a C120W and was hoping to use Voyage Planner to convert GPX waypoints to the Raymarine FSH format, but the Lighhouse Chart Store stopped selling Voyage Planner the day before I tried to buy it. What do I do now?

I see in this forum their is an FSH to GPX converter. Does it also do GPX to FSH? If so, can it merge converted GPX waypoints into my current archive.fsh file?

[DG11] Rc70c seatalkng integration

Hi. I'm trying to integrate 2x rc70c plus displays, both with chart capabilities (one as an hsb2 repeater), with a 2kw pathfinder radome, an st4000plus autohelm control head, a pre-Raytheon autohelm 2000 tiller linear drive, and rs150 GPS antenna, using a seatalk 1 to seatalkng converter. I'll be adding i70 wind depth and speed at a later point.

I have a couple of questions:

1. I get that the seatalk 1 bus (therefore the st4000plus control head) needs to be disconnected from its power source, and powered via the seatalkng bus, but what about the rc70c displays (and, in effect, the radome too)? Do they each still need their own separate 12v power supply, (as they don't seem to work off the seatalk 1 power supply to the autohelm control head, anyway....).

2. There are no manuals on line for the autohelm 2000. What are the critical dimensions for this tiller linear drive? a) tiller pivot centre to tiller pin, and b) tiller drive mounting socket to tiller pin?

Seatalkng integration

Hi. Sorry if this is obvious but I'm trying to integrate an rs150 GPS via a seatalk 1 to seatalkng converter, to an st4000plus control head, as well as 2 x rl70c displays with chartplotter functionality (one a repeater of the other, with hsb2 connection between the two).

I know that the seatalk 1 bus needs to have its power disconnected, and receive power through the seatalkng converter. But am I correct that neither the st4000plus, nor the rl70c displays are designed to be powered through the seatalk 1 connections?

So I'm assuming I still have to run three, separate 12v supplies (one to each rl70c, as well as one to the st4000plus), then cut both of the red seatalk connection cables, (one in rl70c-to-st4000plus seatalk cable, and one in st4000plus-to-seatalkng converter cable?

Is this correct?
